The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. Dreyfuss, considered a brilliant industrial designer, worked with Bell Telephone Laboratories designing telephones that were sensitive to consumers' desire to suit a variety of home environments. Well known for the 302 style Desk Phone, he later shifted his design efforts to include this wall unit allowing consumers to walk with the phone while cradling it on their shoulder. This unified and balanced form replaced the awkward and ungainly shapes of earlier models. Would you believe Dreyfuss actually used measurements from over 2000 faces to determine the average distance between the mouth and ear? The Crosley 302 Wall Phone features the nostalgic rotary dial but actually functions with push button technology. No more waiting for that rotary dial to make its excruciating slow rotation.
Product Description The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. The design of the wall unit allows you to walk with the phone while cradling it on your shoulder, giving you the freedom to move about the room.

I purchased this because I liked the look of it and because the hand piece sets in a cradle. It does not fall off the wall like newer styled phones. Within the first year's use the push buttons have stopped dialing phone numbers. Now the phone is of no use since I can not dial out on it. It is past warrantly and can not be fixed. Very disappointed.

When I first rec'd this phone and used it, voice quality was poor, the re-dial and call waiting buttons did not work. Since it's not our main phone, we let it slide. It stopped working 2 1/2 months after purchase. We were unable to return it because the warranty expired after 30 days. Should have returned it immediately!

We didn't need a house phone; we have a cordless phone and mostly use our cell phones. We bought this phone after seeing a similar one in a house that our realtor was showing us that was for sale. It had eye-appeal and went with the decor, which was similar to our decor. When we hung it on the wall, it looked like it was supposed to be there. It was also functional, so for those folks who do actually call us on the house phone, we talk on it. The sound quality is good, and I do not find the ringer too loud as some of the other reviews had mentioned, but we do keep it on the low switch. One other plus is that our toddler likes to talk on the shiny phone. Grandma calls him on the Crosley and he is all smiles.
