I love that this hand soap is organic, fair trade, and toxic chemical free. This soap feels smooth. I wash my hands often. Dr. Bronner's leaves my hands feeling soft after washing. My hands don't feel dry or crack like they have in the past when using other hand soaps. It has a great lather. I use both the unscented and the peppermint scented. Both products are great! As noted by a previous reviewer, the first time I used the soap, I too was surprised by the brown color. Please don't let the color prevent you from using this product! The only drawback to this product is the price. It is a little pricey. However, it works well and the fact that it's organic, fair trade, and toxic chemical free, make it worth the price. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great non-toxic hand soap. It's a watery brown liquid that at least won't clog the pump, but it isn't exactly unscented. It has a strange, mildly unpleasant scent. It creates an unusual squeaky-clean feeling on the hands that I've never experienced before. That's because it seems to destroy all oil on the skin. While you get a super-clean feeling, it's also exceptionally drying. I won't buy it again, even on sale. Cons Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Liquid Hand Soap, Naked Unscented, 12 fl oz: I tried one bottle in our bathroom. Though, it is fragrance-free, there is a smell to it More medicinal/herbal, not fruity or artificial. It does clean the hand and does not overly dries the hand but lotion afterwards is good. One negative is that if the whole bottle is not used right away, it tends to harden. Comments about Dr. Bronner's Liquid Hand Soap, Naked Unscented, 12 fl oz: The soap works fine and its smell does not bother my allergies. I'll probably get use to the soap being a dark color but the container clashes with my decor, and would with most decors, I think. Comments about Dr. Bronner's Liquid Hand Soap, Naked Unscented, 12 fl oz: I'm Asian, 30's, straight hair, and very sensitive skin. I was looking for a SLS free shampoo and came across castile soap. I thought "it's a cleanser that's been used for years, it must be good." I tried Dr. Bronner's original unscented liquid soap. My hair felt like straw, but clean straw. I wasn't satisfied and continue my search for SLS free shampoo. This has Shikakai; it's also been used for years in Asia as a cleanser. I found a shampoo that works for me! I read the reviews and bought the citrus rinse too. It works well for me. I'll keep purchasing it as long it keeps working for me! I've recommended it to my mom and sister who have sensitive skin too. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (4 of 6 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Dr. Bronner's Liquid Hand Soap, Naked Unscented, 12 fl oz: This is a feel good product. Fair trade and organic and it works great! I have been using it as a hand soap in our kitchen. Although it says "unscented", it smells like spearmint to me. The scent is very clean and helps with food odors. Also, I have very sensitive skin and have had no problems. Comments about Dr. Bronner's Liquid Hand Soap, Naked Unscented, 12 fl oz: I love Dr. Bronner natural products, and I decided to try their new pump soap by the bathroom sink. I've been very happy with it. It's gentle, not overdrying or harsh, and suds up nicely. We use it to wash our hands, and I sometimes mix it with a creamy face wash I have for washing my face. The only surprise was the brown color of the soap. This took a little getting used to, just because it's not what you expect. But after the first day the color was no longer an issue. I think the bottle is very attractive and looks nice on our bathroom counter. I will definitely buy this again.
