This is the best drugstore mascara I have ever used. For years I paid over twenty dollars for department store mascaras and they did not give as much volume to my lashes or last as long as this mascara does. I have tried this mascara in the different shades of black that are available as well as the brown and I love them all. I have worn this mascara for up to 15 hours without any smudges under my eyes. I love the full brush, I love that a little plumps your lashes instantly in one coat or you can apply 2-3 coats and get incredible volume without clumps. There's nothing not to like about this product, and the price is a bargain!

I had been using Diorshow mascara and this gives comparable results. It gives the same volume as Dior. the only difference I have seen is that Dior gives them a luster but this one does not. But for this price, I'm not gonna complain:) The smell is a bit iritating but I think I'll get used to it. I used to use Great lash but this is better, gives more volume

this product is worth it's weight in gold. easy on the pocketbook great on the lashes.

I love this mascara. It converted me from Great Lash, also Maybelline, which I had kept returning to whenever the "next great mascara" on the market really wasn't so great. This is my easy everyday basic black mascara, but it vamps up to night-on-the-town with two or more coats. Perfect.

I'm a mascara junkie, and always on the hunt for the most extreme volume. If you use this with MAC's Prep and Prime, it works as well or better than the expensive brands. I quit using a mascara that was $30 a tube after trying this with the P&P. If this mascara hadn't done as well, I'd have kept up with the more expensive brand, but this one does better on all levels. This combo makes your lashes really, really full. And, it's not nearly such a drag when the tube dries up when you're only paying [$], or whatever it is. Try the combination of these two products, you'll be glad you did.

I have sparse, short eyelashes. My lashes need a lot of help to look long and voluminous. This mascara gives my lashes MAXIMUM LENGTH. They just get longer...and Longer...and LONGER. This mascara will stand up to any expensive department store mascara. It's TOP of the LINE! I've tried many, many mascaras. This is now my FAVORITE! The search is over.

I was curious about Maybelline's The Colossal mascara. I naturally have long lashes and have found fat brushes work best for me. Maybelline's The Colossal mascara has the fat brush that can be hard to find. It does lengthen lashes, though not the 9X. It does not increase thickness as pictured. My biggest complaint about the mascara is the smell. It has a strong floral smell that last for hours. Everything considered, I like the mascara but I cannot get past the smell, especially during allergy season. Who needs more irritants? I will not be buying this again.

I'm glad I bought this on [...] and didn't pay full price. It is horrible. The brush is so big I get more on my eyelids and under my eyes than on my lashes. What is on my lashes is a huge--BLOB--I can't think of any other way to describe it. Definitely won't be buying this again and do NOT recommend.

This mascara may possibly be the best made from Maybelline. The expensive Clinique mascara I've recently purchased doesn't even come close to this stuff!
