This was the first brush I bought when I was just getting in to makeup about 7 years ago. I still have that same brush, and just bought another one. This is quite a durable brush. My old one still works beautifully, and has shed maybe 2 or 3 hairs over those 7 years. The lettering on the handle has faded, but it has faded evenly and is still legible. It's fairly soft (not the softest brush I've ever felt, but it's still nice). It works for the lid or crease, deposits color nicely and can blend out harsh edges. I'm happy I have a second one for doing more dramatic eyeshadow looks. It's a great brush for beginners or minimalists.
