Hmm, let's see - this product comes with 19 hair elastics. Of the 12 I've tried to use so far, 10 have broken in the first 2 seconds of trying to put them in my hair. The closure just snaps apart. I have thick hair, so I'm used to products not lasting as long as they do for some other people, but honest to God they break before you can even wrap them twice around your hair. DO NOT BUY!

I keep a couple of these in the car along with some bobby pins for those days when you don't have time to spend time on your hair or just don't feel like doing your hair and just throw it up into a ponytail or a bun.

I wish they still make these with metal clips. The fused points usually have a hard and scratchy spot I have to avoid just as I had to with the old style. But these break so easily. The strongest ones fail about 25% of the time right off the card, and another quarter within a couple of uses. The other ones, except for one or two real champions, invariably separate inside the cover (the rubber band core) which affects the fit of the whole band. They seem kinda expensive for a couple of good bands.

I have used these hair ties since they came out- before it was the ones with the metal clasps which tear out your hair. BUT, I was at the grocery store the other day and found their new Thick Hair Size!!! I can't believe how long that took them, but man am I glad they finally did. Changing my life right now. With the regular sized ones I always had to test out how stretchy they had gotten with use- in the beginning I can only go around twice, and it makes for sort of a loose ponytail, and then finally weeks later it's big enough for 3 times around- right before it breaks. If you have thick hair, find the new kind! Three times around right outta the pack!
