I was sad to find out that the PUR filters did not filter like the OEM Whirlpool filters that are recommended for the fridge. There was a strange taste to the water that we have never had, and I feel that the listing on the filter box doesn't list everything that it filters out of the water. Sadly, even thought the price was great for these filters, I won't buy them again and will stick with the OEM filter. Hope this helps!

My Fridge is a very basic & hugely common 6-yr old Whirlpool. But, Pur got this very wrong & doesn't list or imply any fit limitations nor dimensions & this filter is about 1&1/2" & Fridge only takes a filter of about 1" diameter. However, the length & connecting end all seemed fine enough of a match.
Service and delivery comments:
This item didn't fit & therefore I had to return it. Drugstore.com made that chore beautifully simple & easy with its print-it yourself fully completed Return Label. I just put everything back in the box with my Packing List marked Incorrect Item, taped on the Return Label & dropped it off at the Post Office, after hours.

Despite claims on the box and in its advertising, this filter does not fit ALL quarter turn refrigerators. It would not fit in my KitchenAid. I have used other brand and generic filters with this same frig. Never a problem fitting them in. I called Whirlpool for help. They indicate it SHOULD fit. It doesn't.
