I purchased this to combat very dry skin. My skin has become dry and itchy as I've aged, and I wanted something gentle yet effective to reduce the flaking and itching. This product is terrific! I don't like highly scented body products, so the subtle clean smell of this Eucerin body oils was ideal. I was surprised that some wrote that it has a fishy smell. I have a sensitive nose, and I detect no off scent to this product. It smells like sweet almond oil to me, which is quite pleasant. It does not produce a lather, but it is often the lather-making additives in soap products that cause dryness and sensitivities. Lather does not equal clean. I use a nylon pouf to apply, which also acts as an exfoliant. My husband appreciates that it doesn't leave the tub as slippery as an ice rink as some oil based products can. I leave my skin damp and apply cream to help lock in the moisture.

I really love how this moisturizes me skin so well. Eucerin is a great brand and the quality is high. The only thing, and I have to mention this, is it smells very unpleasant. It is a weird cooking oil-type smell. I understand that it's an oil wash that's unscented but this natural odor leaves a lot to be desired. I tried mixing it with a nicely scented wash to cut down on the offensive odor, but no dice. I wish that this strange organic smell wasn't there because this is a great wash, and it's even more moisturizing in a long bath soak. Sadly because of the odor I won't be getting this again...

My skin gets very itchy and dry in the winter. This cleaner is the one that doesn't aggravate that condition. It doesn't make much for suds, so I find myself needing to squirt it very generously on my shower scrubby-puff to feel like I am actually cleansing. I wish there was either a mild pleasant fragrance or no smell at all. It doesn't have much of a smell, but the smell it has is sort of unpleasant, like a clinical product. I like this better than the Aveeno product that is supposed to be similar.

I purchased this because my husband was experiencing very dry skin. He liked it and I ended up using it myself and really like it also. It helps in diminishing and eliminating the "chicken skin" feel on my arms. It lathers nicely much like a shower oil, but little to no fragrance. An expensive product with great results! My skin and his also are much softer and not dry.

I find the Eucerin products to work very well but the body wash is too watery in consistency and therefore you can't easily control the amount that comes out of the spout like other creamy body washes. More comes out than what you need usually.

I don't know why some people comment on the smell--its oil with omega-3's and made for sensitive skin--i.e. sensitive skin cannot tolerate fragrances! I developed itchy, rashy/sensitive arms and have been back and forth to the derm. I had tried this product before because I've tried like a million things--but my mistake was that I followed this with Eucerin's Calming cream--and reacted badly and put it on the shelf with all my other errors. However, I have since realized that the cream has collidial oatmeal in it--which is as bad as having lanolin in it for us sensitive folks. For the last two weeks, I have followed using the oil wash--with Vanicream after rinsing off the oil wash--and my arms look great and no more itching at night!!

I am in my 70's, and my hands have become very sensitive to hand soap. During the winter months, my fingers crack open and bleed. This is the only product that I have found that helps with this problem. It leaves my hands moisturized and soft. It is a wonderful product, and I try to purchase it when Drugstore.com runs one of their great sales.
