I've used Norelco shavers for the past 35 years and this one is the quietest and closest shaving of them all and it's not even the top of the line.

I used Norelcos newest Arcitec and came back to this one. It provides a much closer shave with MUCH less irritation. Norelco went the wrong way with Arcitec. This technology is the best on the market.

There are other shavers that may be just a tad closer (Braun), but in my experience, they're not as gentle, and they're harder to clean, and they're more expensive. This is a great way to shave: painless, very quiet. I've had Norelcos for many years (till their batteries wouldn't charge -- usually about 10 years) and this is the best one yet. And the price was unbeatable.

No fuss. No muss. Does a good job.
