I've tried probably 50 different sunscreens in my life and this sunscreen is terrible in terms of staying on. It just rubs right off and doesn't seem to absorb, therefore I'm not sure how effective it is.

Not as easy to apply as conventional sunscreen, but it rubbed in much better than I expected after reading other reviews.

We were looking for a non-chemical sunscreen, and also one that was rated highly by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), including their rating for sunscreen stability. This product DID fit that bill. This product is good, but like the other reveiwers have said, it stayed pretty white on my entire body and streaked everywhere. Just couldn't rub it in completely. And now, can't get it out of my bathing suit. I'll use it on my 4-year-old, but will continue to use Soleo, also rated very highly by EWG.

Worth every penny, has the best rating on the Environmental Working Group's rating of sunblocks for being most effective and safest with the least chemicals (many chemicals like oxybenzone are now linked to cancer). It goes on thick and slightly white, but in a minute it has rubbed in and it makes it easy to tell where you might have missed.

The white takes a while to rub in, but I like that....you can see what areas are covered.

I use this sunscreen in the summer time. I bought two tubs for the summer and I seems to work well. I haven't burned using the product. It's hard to rub in and you will have a slightly white face that does go away. My husband uses it on his face. Doesn't work well for his body as he has arm and leg hair and it's very hard to rub in. It does give a greasy feel on your face but it's not bad. It's a thick sunscreen that works well. If you looking for a easy to run in sunscreen you will need to go to [...]and buy a sunscreen that's not safe for you. I prefer the hassle of this sunscreen knowing that it's very safe for me.

The product works well for my family. I am moving towards using the safest and most chemical free products that I can and although the other sunscreens may offer a more delightful smell, the chemicals aren't worth it. We like it.

Effective product but oh so thick. You really need to rub this stuff in and its very greasy. Even after rubbing it in it leaves white lines in your skin creases. With that said the sunscreen part of it works great.

Upsides: Very effective and safe according to Environmental Working Group which is why I bought it. Provides great barrier if perspiring or wet. Downsides: very thick out of the tube (unless tube has been sitting in sun for a bit) and difficult to spread and absorb, especially on hairy arms/ legs (i.e., men!). Need to work with it a bit to get it all rubbed in and reduce the white film. Feels a bit greasy. Fairly strong lavender smell, which boys/men might object to but I like it. But I would use it if I'm going to be in strong sun for long periods of time or in the water. I'd also use it on a baby/toddler. Older kids (like my 18 y/o) don't like it.

I use this on my 12 month old. We live in FL and are at the beach several times a week and at the pool almost every day. She has not been burned while using this. It does need to be reapplied after an hour or so of being in the water. It doesn't smell tropical for sure. I'm a massage therapist and it reminds me of products I use. It is very heavy and greasy. It doesn't rub in well but more lays on the skin. I like it and will continue to use it on her. She had bad reactions to Coppertone and Water Babies products and she has not had any reactions to Badger at all. I'm more than pleased with it's performance. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't lighter, not greasy and if it smelled more tropical.
