When my hair dried it was soft, not crunchy, but still had hold. It does a have scent that smells similar to their other products, although a little lighter. This is better than most of the high dollar salon stuff I have been recommended and tried. I will buy this again and again. This is very slippery going on -- might be good for creating styling slip... but I like to air-dry, so I never tried that and it just felt weird. The fragrance is nice, but very strong. I would have put up with those two things if this had actually defined my curls. To get any definition, I felt like I had to use so much that it weighed my hair down. After a few hours, whether I used a lot or a little, my hair would look puffy and messy with flyaways even though I was inside nearly all day and had not touched my hair. I live in the desert, so I don't have a lot of trouble with humidity... this was just a product that didn't last. When my neck broke out in pimples after a couple of weeks, I threw out this tube. It may work for you, but it didn't work well for me. Reviewed by 22 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 6/11/2015 Works greatly for thin, curly hair Pros

Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I've used many products, both cheap and designer expensive. None of them have compared to the GF Cream-Gel. What I love about it is that it doesn't make my hair crunchy (unless I use too much), and I don't really have to do anything to my hair and the curls show up. I really detest getting up early in the morning to do my hair/makeup--so I do my routine the night before. My curls survive the night and the product makes it super soft and non-frizzy. Don't know what I would do without it.

Cons Best Uses
Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I have thick, wavy/curly hair that is prone to frizz and needs definition. Like a lot of curly girls, I have probably tried over 50 different styling products to find the "magic bullet" that will make my hair look great. So glad I found this one - it's just about the cheapest styling product I've used and it works the best. I apply it after I diffuse my hair. It adds definition to my curls, reduces frizz, and best of all, my hair is shiny and soft rather than crunchy or sticky. I don't wash my hair everyday since it's dry, so on "off-days," I spritz my hair with some water and reapply a little of this product to rejuvinate my curls and take care of any frizz that has snuck in. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with unruly, wavy/curly hair!

Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I have wavy/curly hair and have controlled it using mousse since I was 13 (I am 32 now). To combat dryness, I would work a little cream and silicone into my damp hair before applying mousse.

Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I use this every day on my fine, wavy hair to control frizz. It works well for control and also keeps my hair soft. Not sure if it really helps make it more curly, though.

Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: This is the best thing I've found to hold my curls without getting frizzy. It takes a little longer to dry your hair, however, due to its slippery feel. I usually partially blow dry it upside down and concentrate my dryer at the roots to give them some lift and then try to dry the roots thoroughly. It doesn't feel sticky, slippery, or greasy on your hair, dries well. I love this!

Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: This product did the trick for my very curly/frizzy hair! Since I have very curly and dry hair, I first apply a little Moroccan Oil, then distribute this product through my hair, scrunch and diffuse til it's about 50% dry. Then I use the Fructis Spray Gel and scrunch and diffuse again until my hair is about 90% dry (note to curly girls, you should never diffuse your hair until completely dry). This combo leaves my hair smelling amazing, with no frizz and soft to the touch. I am a certified product junkie and have tried EVERYTHING for curly hair! This is the best and easiest combo I've found!

Cons Best Uses Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I didnt think this product would work on africian american completly natural hair. I normally use more expensive hair products for my natural hair type. At 1st when applying product it was a little slippery as I applied to my hair by section and rolled hair pieces into knot rolls until it dried. upon taking rolls down at 1st they were still wet not very much curl pattern, but as I air died my hair and scrunched each section it had very defined curls somewhat better than exensive products. it take a little more work and patience but ending result is great. I love the curl patterns it created to my natural curls. i will definitely use again saved about 25.00 dollars on the product. Comments about Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel, Extra Strong, 5 oz: I am a long time user of a similar product from a more expensive line. I decided to give this a try because it seemed similar and the price was much lower (I was paying about $20 for the other product). It took a few failed attempts before I got it right, but I am happy with it now. I put it in my towel-dried hair after I shower, blow dry (on low) with a diffuser until it is almost dry and then let it air dry the rest of the way.
