Frequently Asked Questions:  I recommend reading the instructions twice before you begin the process. Follow each step as directed and hair will look and feel as though you just stepped out.

How do I get the hair back of my head? Coloring the back of your hair can be tricky. Try using a hand mirror to check the thoroughness of the  application, especially if grey hair is beginning to emerge at the nape of your neck. Or get a friend to help.

Directions say to leave color on 35 minutes - can I leave it on longer for better coverage? Longer is not better. Do not keep hair color on longer than the specified time. Far from improving coverage, it will actually result in dull, flat color.

Do you have any tips on coloring red hair? A note to redheads: Red color is notoriously fickle and often fades more quickly than other shades. Feel free to reapply more often to maintain that signature intensity.

I have already permed my hair, when can I color it? If your hair has been permed, bleached or relaxed, wait at least 14 days before coloring.

Scalp Concerns. . .?? Do not use if your hair and/or scalp is not in good condition (is your hair brittle, is there any hair breakage, scalp irritation, etc.).

Can I shampoo right after I color? After coloring, wait at least 12 hours before shampooing hair. Always shampoo with lukewarm water. Hot water will speed up color fadage.  Do not shampoo hair immediately before coloring - shampoo no less than 24 hours before color application.

Will styling products effect my color? If a lot of styling products are used on a regular basis, consider using a clarifying or detoxifying shampoo at least one week before coloring hair. This will help remove any excess products layered onto the cuticle.You can style immediately after coloring - try Fekkai's Coiff styling products.
