These curlers are so easy to use. They provide a nice break from blow drying my hair so frequently. After shampooing, I let my hair dry halfway, then roll these rollers into my hair, let them in until hair is dry, and when I remove them, I've got nice smooth brush out.

I have flat thin hair. I describe it as "infant hair". I use these rollers quiet often, the larger rollers on the top/front of my head, and smaller rollers toward the back. I put them in my hair as soon as I get out of the shower (I towel dry my hair), and either let my hair air dry, or blow dry it, depending on how much time I have. I'm left with great volume and curls. I use the duck clips to secure them in place. I guess that's the only negative thing...
Otherwise, I love these things. I hate hot rollers, I always burn my fingers, and can never get the roller in correctly because they're too hot. These are much better.
They do snag a very tiny amount, but nothing that I can't handle...perhaps it would snag more on someone with thicker hair...but for me they're perfect, and I highly recommend.

So happy I've found these! So much more body than a curling iron r lol brush, and lots less damage to my hair as well. And bonus - the body lasts ll day instead of until noon! So easy to use... I wait until my bar is just about dry, roll it up, put my makeup on, dry my hair the rest f the way with a diffuser on, and ale out the rollers -voila! Body!

My hair is very thick and the length is just below my collar bone. These rollers are meant to be used on wet or damp hair. The idea of the velcro seems right but on my hair it was extremely difficult to take out after my hair dried. While removing them, each roller would tangle the hair on the roller, which made it hard to know which direction to unroll the roller. The velcro sticks alright, way too much. I used them once, never again. Plus my hair didn't look good because of the severe mess it made while being removed. I'm going back to the good old-fashioned "magnetic" rollers, which are smooth with holes in them, no tangles ever, easy to remove. Hair takes a bit longer to dry with magnetic rollers, but that's a small price to pay for not having a tangled mess when pulling velcro rollers out, which also hurts hair and scalp, even if done gently.

Dry hair and use Amplify Root Lifter spray. Great for fine permed hair for gentle curles with no hair damage.

I use these to give volume and body, especially in these dry days of winter when my hair wants to fall flat after blow drying or straightening with the flat iron. The volume on my naturally wavy hair even lasts overnight.

To avoid entanglements, I always use a leave-in conditioner after shampooing, allow hair to dry almost completely before using rollers, and wind the ends carefully. I avoid using the roller itself as a brush to hold the ends, but hold the ends of the hair with my fingers and wind the ends around the roller, then finish rolling. This is a method from trial and error, as the 1st couple of times I used these, I did get tangled up some.

Anything you can use to give the ends of your hair a little more "slip" will be helpful too, such as anti frizz serum, etc. I use a light spray of distilled water followed by a volumizing mist (B&B's thickening spray) on the tops of the rollers. Then dry with a blow dryer and allow them to cool before unrolling slowly, smoothing out any tangles with my fingers as I go.

These rollers have a bit of a learning curve. But it sounds like more work than it is. They have saved me a bunch of time and I no longer have to blow dry my hair to get it smooth.

I put the largest and second largest curlers in my mother's short, fine hair and it gave her some nice body. I put them in her wet hair, blew them dry, and took them out for her. It turned out nicely. When I tried to put them in my own long, thick, wavy hair; however, it was a different story. I could not get them out! It was a nightmare. The velcro stuck in my hair and became such a mess that I couldn't even tell which way to unroll them. I ended up having to pull out a lot of my hair to get them out. My hair was a disaster afterwards. I had to shower again and start over. The ones at the back of my head were the worst, probably because I couldn't see them directly. I would use them with caution (or avoid them altogether, preferably) if you have long, thick hair that you plan on styling yourself. I'm going to look into velvet rollers instead.

I have very short, wavy blonde highlighted hair that is clipped very short at the neckline, but longer at the top. Of course, I have a curling iron and have used it on the top part of my hair to give it some lift because I hate flat hair. (I'm from Texas - what can I say?)
I always see these rollers advertised by famous Hollywood stylists for 5 times the price - they say their product is much different from the Conair ones. How can a Velcro-type roller be different?
I use the smaller rollers (my hair is too short for the larger ones) on the crown and sides of my hair for volume rather than curl. They work great!
I did not need bobby pins to hold them in place - they stayed perfectly. I sprayed hair spray over the rollers after putting them in. I put on my makeup and then took them out, ran my fingers through my hair and sprayed lightly to hold it.
I was very pleased with the results. This is a great alternative to a curling iron, which damages color treated hair. I would recommend them to anyone who wants softly curled or fuller hair without the damaging effects of a curling iron or flat iron.
