Antidepressants and CT can't work if you're sitting around half asleep. Being crippled makes moving around painful, difficult and scary (falls are dangerous); it's hard to work up the energy to meditate, much less do tai chi. Sugar and coffee don't wake me up, but I remember B vitamins and phenylalanine help animals--so I tried this. It helps you do the one thing that really banishes depression: achievement!
