i spray it directly on couches, mattress, sheets and open windows for added freshness. i hate the smell..its very strong, smells like cheap perfume, lingers on, gives me headaches, hives, puffy eyes and nausea. its awful.
the only one i love is the allergen reducer which is the opposite of this but its not carried in my city and thank you drugstore.com for having it in stock.

I love using this all the time. When I feel my house isn't feeling so fresh, or when company is coming, I spray everywhere and my house smells fresh!!! Even though your house is clean doesn't mean the fresh scent is going to be there forever! That's why I love using Fabreeze to give that smell of clean! It doesn't last forever (nothing does) but it's great for when your house has a funcky odor or your having company and want people to walk into a pleasent scent!

This product does not have a perfume-y type scent to it, but it isn't meant to. This is not to be placed on a person's skin so I don't get the complaints about it not smelling nice enough. It neutralizes the air/ offending odor and that's it's job. It doesn't linger but that's fine because I would think that a lingering odor would cause my head to spin. Why would anyone want the scent to linger?

The odor is akin to a cheap, old man's cologne. I sprayed my favorite chair, just to freshen it up, and ended up covering the chair with baking soda, and sitting it out in the sun all day to try to neutralize the horrible Fabreze odor. That helped, but It has been four days, and I still cannot sit in the chair. This is absolutely a 'masking' product only.

This product can be overpoweringly strong when first sprayed, but after its allowed to air out a bit, a subtle scent lingers. I would not claim that this is an air freshner- that is not why I bought this. However, after spraying my carpets, I notice they smell clean and fresh when I lie down on them even several days after spraying.

I am obsessive about the way my home smells so naturally I would buy this product. While the scent of the product is that wonderful "clean" smell it doesn't last. If you can constantly spray this I would recommend this product.
