I decided to give Spackle a try mainly because I've heard rave reviews and it is twice the product for about the same price as my usual primer. I wish I loved it. It just didn't do anything. I will be buying Prime Time by Bare Escentuals from now on. Go with what you know.

I don't wear makeup very often but when I do I use the Spackle. I typically apply moisturizer after washing my face, then apply a small amount just prior to using the Spackle. I then use a powder concealer on the trouble spots and over that my foundation. I've used both the mineral-powder type of foundation with the Spackle and the liquid type and both work well. My skin type is normal, not too dry or too oily, but I am prone to breakouts at times. Spackle has never prompted a breakout. I like that this product gives my face a smooth feel. It is like silk. It does make my makeup look better and the staying power is increased. I do find that I have to blot occasionally to avoid a shiny nose but I'd do this during the day with just about any type of makeup. It doesn't increase the appearance of lines or wrinkles and helps to make my skin look and feel younger while wearing makeup. I've also actually used this with just powder over the top on lazy days with great success.

Really like the product goes on nice and makes my skin feel great. However, the packaging needs some attention. The pump never worked. Just a pain to dig the stuff out everyday. I really liked the JAR they use to have - you could get every bit without waste.
