Has Irritating mechanical or artificial sound

We use this in our son's bedroom to help him fall asleep with the sounds of the ocean. I don't think the sounds are any more artifical than any other sound machine. Even though we use the timer setting, I think it should have a 'play continuously' option. which it does not (max 60 minutes).

This machine only runs in increments of 15 min to 1 hour, then shuts off. What's the point? There is no way to override the auto shut-off function. In essence, totally worthless as a white noise machine to mask snoring or outdoor noises all though the night. I wanted a white noise machine that will run all night long. If that's what you're looking for, look somewhere else.

This machine is worthless. I bought it to play white noise so I can sleep at night while my husband snores. Well, I'm sending it back because it only plays for 15 minutes to 1 hour, then shuts off. There's no way to override the auto shutoff function. I can't think of a more worthless 'feature' in a white noise machine. I've owned 3 other white noise machines over the years and this is the only one that has an auto shutoff function that can't be turned off. If you want a white noise machine that will run for more than 1 hour, this is not for you.
