I'm giving this product 5 stars because I was specifically looking for a mascara that didn't leave black smudges under my eyes by midday. Today is the first day I have used this mascara and I'm already impressed with it. I have light eyelashes and this kept mine looking long and dark all day. I have used anything from Clinique to Maybelline, but this is the one to leave no smudge. It's really just all about what you're looking for.

This mascara is amazing. I have puny lashes and have tried mascaras in all price ranges. I have used this one for years. As a result, I get compliments on my long lashes frequently. I think it works best after a few uses.

Ladies, trust me. Your search for the best mascara on the market is over! I am a cosmetic addict, and try every kind of product in every price range. In the case of mascara, I try other brands, (both cheap and expensive) and keep running back to my baby! I have stick-straight, sparse lashes, but with the help of 2000 calorie (curved brush), and a Maybelline eyelash curler, complete strangers feel compelled to tell me they're jealous of my lashes! It smells really chemical, like some sort of solvent. It only worked well for about three weeks, after that it gave me clumpy, spidery stubble for lashes. In defense of this product, I will say that it washes-off easily with soap and water, leaving lashes silky and conditioned afterwards. That's about the only pro. The volumizing effect lasted for only three weeks of use, after that the wand was useless.

I've used this product for years. Tried a few other brands that promise no flaking, full lashes, but it was all lies. Needless to say this is the only brand true to its word. As a contact wearer I have absolutely no problems with this one. LOVE IT!

This product creates a smoky eyeliner effect without actually using any eyeliner. The gel like formula wraps and conditions each lash. The smudge proof formula gives you the classic Marilyn Monroe look without the cakey liquid eyeliner, and remains fresh all day.

I have used this mascara for years and for some dumb reason, I continue to try other brands. I always come back to this 2000 calorie from Max Factor. It stays put. You have to use eye makeup remover or baby oil to get it off, but at least it's not a worry throughout the day. Never had raccoon eyes or flaky lashes with this mascara, (until it starts to get old!). Good mascara for a good price. Much better than the many, many others I have tried.

This mascara went on smooth and made my eyelashes really stand out. I liked the color and the feel of the mascara on my lashes. I expected a bit more of a thickened look to my lashes, but this product gets a thumbs up from me overall. It's a nice alternative to some of the higher priced versions.
