Indications
Helps prevent sunburn and photodamage caused by UVA/UVB exposure. Higher SPF gives more sunburn protection.
Warnings
For external use only. When using this product keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash or irritation develops and lasts. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center. Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor. For use on skin only.

I bought this sunscreen on the urging of my dermatologist and I can tell you that I have not had a sunburn since using this product! I have also noticed that it stays on even longer than advertised even in the ocean, but I would always try and follow directions. Needs to be reapplied and make sure it's dry before you go out in the sun. I usually wait 15 minutes or so before going out in the sun. I also put it all over so I don't miss any spots at the edge of my swim suit or anything. Has improved my skin drastically...I had so much sun damage, now my skin is healthier. use it everyday!!!

Love, love, love this product. I have three children who are very active especially during the summer, and my husband & I play a lot of tennis. It is very effective.
Two cons: (1) white streaks are clearly seen when the product gets inadvertently wiped. (2) the pump from gallon size is very flimsy - it need improvement towards robustness.

We just came back from the beach and had this large container of Blue Lizard. It worked great, no one got burned or red. It provides great protection. It goes on a little white but that fades away in a short time.

Live in AZ - use a ton of sunscreen so the size is a huge value. Love the pump for refilling smaller bottles. This was the only sunscreen to not cause a rash for my daughter - tried tons of other brands!

Great for outdoor activities. A little oily for daily wear but kept us well protected in Mexico in July. No burn. Very waterproof. Does soak in after a few minutes so no worries when you are very white after first putting it on. Felt a little greasy on the face but otherwise great.

I bought this product in this size for shared family and neighborhood use. I bought 3 oz and 5 oz plastic bottles with pouring caps and then pumped the gallon down by loading up the smaller bottles. I recommend this process if you have 10+ users because it is easy and the cost per ounce of the product is drastically reduced. That said, the product itself is great: highly rated by different agendas, very effective, does what you want it to do. You do have to rub it in some but easy to do when you dab only a little on with each "run in."

I am a brand buyer on a budget. This is the highest recommended sunscreen on the market if what you want is a sunscreen that doesn't also cause cancer. That's right - most sunscreens have cancer causing chemicals IN them. This is amazing. Comes in a massive 1 gallon tub so you can refill smaller bottles - it even has a pump so refills are EASY.

We live on a sailboat in sunny places. After six months in Mexico a friend jokingly referred to our kids as the albinos. Despite daily playing in the sun and water, they are not tanned. We take our sun protection seriously, I just bought two gallons of Blue Lizard / Sensitive Skin to get us through the next year of tropical boat living.
The environmental working group evaluates the safety and effectiveness of sunscreens. This product was well rated on both counts, a VERY important screening criteria for me!
This does go on heavier than most, and initially has a pronounced white sheen, BUT this sheen goes away in a short time. I think that's a minor tradeoff for safe, effective coverage.
Apply liberally to dry skin before sun exposure. Children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor. Reapply to dry skin as needed or after towel drying, swimming or sweating.
