My Yorkie, Belle" gets Greenies as a reward for good behavior or when I have to leave her, I give her one for being a "good girl" while I have been gone. I also use it if she is outside and doesn't want to come in when I call her. I will tell her "come on, we'll get a treat" and she comes running. I have not found anything that isn't great about Greenies.

However, if you want to give them a chew, it certainly doesn't hurt them (unlike rawhide or bullysticks, ears and hoofs etc.)and your dog will love them! My dog is a labrador/newfie/chow mix with a powerful jaw; is a power chewer. He loves them, but eats the biggest ones like dog crackers in a minute! For dental cleaning, I brush his teeth every night and give him a CET Enzymatic chew (rec. by his vet). He is 4 now and still has pearly white teeth. Even his vet is amazed at how healthy and clean his teeth are. I would rec. this as a chew treat, but NOT as a "dental cleaning" treat.

I have 3 dogs (2 young and 1 old) and they all adore Greenies!! I order 3 boxes at a time and the dogs know when they arrive!! They're a little expensive to use all the time, but the dogs turn their nose up at other treats when we have greenies in the house!

My 15 year old Bischon begs for them so she usually gets a treat twice a day. I order the "teenies" and the "petites" so she gets one of each daily. Just wish they weren't so expensive! We go through a box every month!

Have been giving these to my dog ever since I got her as a pup and she's now 8 years old. Never had any "doggie breath" or teeth/gum related problems. Great product and will continue to use it.

A friend recommended these and I was skeptical but now I wouldn't consider doing without them. My dog expects one every morning. He enjoys them so much. They really help keep his teeth clean between his regular dental visits and his breath stays fresh. My Vet says they are very good for a dog's overall oral health. I get the size recommended for his weight. Drugstore.com's auto-reorder feature makes sure we don't run out and gives us the best price we've found anywhere. They are a good investment in my dog's continuing good health. After all we want our pet to live long happy lives. Greenies helps them do just that.
