My male "mate" uses these hairbands on his long but thinning ponytail - these are the very best on the market - have been using these for years, they're comfortable, durable, excellent product.

Used on fine but a lot of waist length hair. These do a great job holding it all up in a pony tail or bun during hiking, biking, and active work. Sadly every other hair tie seems to break on first use. Highly recommend pre stretching if you have a lot of hair. If they overstretch, throwing them in the laundry often helps them regain their shape.

I love these hair elastics. They really hold my hair tightly and don't seem to shift throughout the day so I don't have to constantly fix my hair every few hours.

I wear a ponytail quite often and find that most holders don't stay put. These elastics stay right where I put them - whether I wear my pony high or low, it never slides down no matter how active I am. I will never buy another as long as these are available! The only slightly negative thing I can say is that they can be a little tricky to get out without pulling out hairs. Takes a little practice, especially if you are used to just sliding them out, but SO worth it!

These are my HG hair ties! I bought about 6 packs or so when I saw that drugstore.com carried them. These do not stretch out as quick as any other brands I have tried and the rubber grips still make them useable after they stretch. I only change them when 1) I lose them (oops!) or 2) when the clear rubber piece turns so yellow it looks gross. It would be nice if that piece was black. Like others have mentioned, would be great if they had more color selections. It never slips off when I work out in them- a miracle! Yet it's gentle enough to not pull out my hair when I take it off. LOVE!

I buy these everywhere I can find them. I have silky, fine hair but it's thick--as in a lot of hair. So I need a band that is gentle and really grips but is big enough for all of my hair. These are the only ones that meet all of my requirements. I stockpile them.
