I dilute my shampoo and apply directly to my scalp with a squirt bottle, work into a lather, then leave it on while i scrub the rest of me off - the dilution may be why it doesn't dry my hair out.

This is my favorite dandruff shampoo by far. I try others but always come back to this. I also use it as a face wash when I travel so i have one less product to pack. Best-smelling dandruff shampoo by a mile!

Abuot four years ago I noticed that my thick, straight hair was quite dry and my scalp had become dry and itchy. I had also developed pimples in the hairline at the base of my scalp. I disregarded the problems until last year when I purchased a bottle of Selsun Blue Naturals because I noticed the product contains 3% salicylic acid. I had read previously that face washes containing salicylic acid were helpful in clearing up skin problems and I decided that my scalp could as easily benefit from the salicylic acid. After using Selsun Blue Naturals about twice a week for a year, I am enormously pleased with the results: my hair is no longer dry, my scalp is no longer dry and itchy and the skin break-outs are completely healed. Occasionaly I switch out and use other Selsun Blue products but this is the shampoo I always return to.

This product did get rid of the flakes but it dried my hair out so much (even washing every 2 to 3 days) I had to stop using it - the bottle is almost full. I guess if your hair is really oily this is the right product for you. Not for me.

I have tight curly hair. I generally wear my hair very short and I visit the barber maybe once every 4 to six weeks. If only for one reason i love this shampoo because after lathering it up, i leave it on my hair for a few minutes while i am showering so that the lather and medicine in the shampoo penetrates my scalp. There is nothing over the counter that even comes close to how well selsun blue naturals works. The other selsum blue products are good but are inferior to how the natural line performs. For most, you should not be disappointed with this product. I use it everyday. It also has a great light scent that doesn't smell perfumey or mediciney. Not sure why all of the great products in stores are put at the bottom of the shelf space but you probably find it closer to the bottom level shelf space in the shampoo section of your drugstore or pharmacy specialty store.

Finally found a shampoo that we can use twice a week to help with dry flaky scalp. Does the job and has fresh smell and leaves the hair feeling great.

My scalp is sensitive so I often use this brand - this is by far the best smelling variety I have found that controls dandruff well.

I have allergies and an itchy, dry scalp. I tried Selsun Blue years ago and it didn't work for me. Well, this Selsun WORKS. It has a pleasant aroma and lathers profusely. A good bargain at this price.
