I purchase this product for my vegetarian daughter. She likes it and has had me buy it for her several times. Because of her vegetarian restrictions, she will not take many preparations that might actually have better formulations. I will note that the B-complex vitamins here are not balanced (compare %Daily Values), and that the amount of vitamin D is far too small to be considered effective in light of modern research. Also, I will note that the form of vitamin D provided (cholecalciferol, or vitamin D3) is derived from animal sources (sheep's wool) and thus is not suitable for vegans. Sadly, a vegan's choice for vitamin D supplementation (when adequate UVB exposure is not possible) is limited to ergocalciferol, or vitamin D2 from irradiated mushrooms, which is not considered a biologically effective substitute.

I'm vegetarian, and for the longest time, I wouldn't take a multivitamin because I thought all of them had gelatin. Once I found about GNC Ultra Mega, I immediately tried it out with great results. My skin appears to be much healthier, and I feel better throughout the day. Since this is a timed release tablet, it works quickly.

Excellent multivitamin that requires only 1 a day which also makes it a bargain over others requiring 2 or more. Have used it without any issue for years - taste is not objectionable. Make sure you store in refridgerator to preserve effectiveness. This will also lesson odor/taste issues for those who are sensitive.
