#1 Dentist Recommended Brand for Sensitive Teeth+ Acid Protection Formula
Help Protect Your Teeth Against the Growing Problem of Acid Wear Dentists have reported a growing dental health concern due to changing modern diets: 'Acid wear'. Even teeth without cavities can be affected. Acids in everyday food such as some fruit and acidic drinks like orange juice and wine can dissolve minerals from our teeth, softening the enamel surface which is then more easily worn away. As the enamel becomes thinner, teeth can become visibly less white, weaker and sensitive.
New Sensodyne® Pronamel® Gentle Whitening toothpaste is formulated to help protect against acid wear and also gently yet effectively remove stains. As it contains fluoride it also helps provide all the benefits of a regular toothpaste.
Helps Protect Teeth Against Acid Erosion
Helps Hardens Tooth Enamel
Gently Removes Stains to Promote Whiter Teeth
Contains Fluoride to Maintain Cavity Protection
Specially Formulated for People with Sensitive Teeth

+Dentists have been recommending Sensodyne® for over 20 years. Brushing twice a day with Sensodyne® builds a "shield of protection" against painful sensitivity. And, since Sensodyne® has fluoride, it helps protect against cavities too.
Indications
Builds increasing protection against painful sensitivity of the teeth due to cold, heat, acids, sweets, or contact.
Aids in the prevention of dental cavities.
Warnings
If pain / sensitivity still persists after 4 weeks of use, please visit your dentist.
Stop use and ask a dentist if the problem persists or worsens. Sensitive teeth may indicate a serious problem that may need prompt care by dentist.
Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I have used Sensodyne products for many years for sensitive teeth. This formula helped me for eroding enamel. I could not use whitening products because they made sores in my mouth and tongue and since they have added the whitening agent to this product it has not caused any soreness or gum sensitivity at all. I would recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive teeth and also want to whiten their teeth at the same time. The only negative thing is the higher price.

Though this toothpaste makes many claims that sound promising, using it can cause problems. After about a week of regular use of this product, I began experiencing sharp dental pain in different areas of my mouth. When I stopped using it and instead tried another toothpaste, the pain stopped.
I've read various explanations of why this happens with whitening toothpaste, and, not being a chemist, I'm not entirely sure of exactly what the process is. But be aware that you may pay a price for using this product. Other, gentler options exist.
Comments about Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, 4 oz:
I have tried many sensitivity toothpastes, but I keep returning to Sensodyne Pronamel. Some were whitening formulas, some were for other specific uses in addition to sensitivity, but all had side effects. One left a metallic taste then it blocked all taste until I stopped while another left a burning, scalded sensation. Every time I come back to Pronamel, despite it being more expensive. True, it doesn't contain any magic ingredients. Its active ingredients are the same as most others (fluoride and potassium nitrate), but it does the job without a host of unnecessary chemicals. Best of all it's gentle on enamel, which is why I think it earns the name "Pronamel". I have receding gums, so the low abrasion formula is doubly appreciated. I'm not big on the messy tube design, but it's a minor gripe. This is an excellent toothpaste to use with a Sonicare toothbrush.

Comments about Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, 4 oz:
This one came in a good looking tube however it is so very running, it leaks out the first time you open. It made my tooth very sensitive after three days, I had to stop it right away.
Comments about Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, 4 oz:
I love Sensodyne, have used it for years. But this ProNamel is hard on your gums if used daily I have backed off and use it only 1-2 times a week. I am 64 years old so this is NOT for younger children! at all. Unless your dentist advises it. Be careful, the old saying, if a little works a whole more will work better NOPE
Comments about Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, 4 oz:
My dentist told me I had to get some procedure to make my teeth less sensitive. I said yes, but then found out it only lasted six months!! The other option was to use this toothpaste. It works really well--my teeth are no longer sensitive. I took off one star because I find the flavor a bit too strong. Also, it has NO sodium lauryl sulfate, which is great for those who need to avoid SLS due to canker sores.
Comments about Sensodyne ProNamel Gentle Whitening Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, 4 oz:
I use this toothpaste every day as my only toothpaste, with a sonic toothbrush and an anticavity mouthwash.
It was recommended to me by my dental hygienist because I had hypersensitive teeth—when she went in with the soft tool to brush my teeth, I flinched because it hurt so much! This was one and a half years ago, and since I switched (back) to this toothpaste, not only have dental cleanings been a breeze, but my teeth are overall less sensitive to cold water and tooth sensitivity has been a thing of the past.
The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes I get a hint of anise, which I do not like. I'm not sure which ingredient puts that taste in my mouth, but I wouldn't say it tastes "bad," just...well, like anise.
Apply at least a 1-inch of the product onto a soft bristle toothbrush
Brush teeth thoroughly for at least 1 minute, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day (morning & evening) or as recommended by a dentist or physician. Make sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth.
Children under 12 years of age: Consult a dentist or physician.
