Good sunblock by Skin cancer survivor in Chicago, IL on 8/13/09Pros: Effective Protection, Not Greasy, Rubs In Well, UVA/UVB Protection, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Beach, Sports, Swimming Bottom Line: recommended This is a good sunblock that finally incorporates Nuetrogena's leading sunblock protection in a sport formula. Sunblock does not leave any white residue like previous versions of Nuetrogena sunblock have. It is pricey, but you can't buy better sunblock protection.
ouch by crispy fried in Oregon on 8/11/09Pros: Not Greasy Cons: Not Effective Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Bottom Line: not recommended I am writing my first product review ever with a raging sunburn! I used this product for a visit to the lake. I do not think it was at all water proof and seemed to rub right off. I bought this because I love Neutrogena products. They used to make a sunscreen called Active Breathable Sunblock. I used that during a trip to Hawaii in August and never burnt at all. When I saw this sunscreen I thought they have finally come up with a comparable product. It certainly didn't work for me. This burn makes me question if the product offered any sun protection at all. Save yourself some pain and some money and buy banana boat. I would have rather had a more greasy product that worked.
Stings by NolaRun in New Orleans, LA on 8/7/09Pros: Effective Protection, UVA/UVB Protection Best Uses: Sports Bottom Line: recommended Most sunscreens with high SPF smell terrible. This stuff smells great and feels good on my skin. The only problem I have with it, is that it stings my face when I start to sweat on long runs. I started using a face sunscreen from aveeno, but I still use the neutrogena sport on my body and love it.
Only sunscreen that doesnt clog my pores by Bike Lisa in New York, NY on 7/15/09Pros: Effective Protection, Not Greasy, Rubs In Well, Sweatproof, UVA/UVB Protection, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Daily Use, Sports Bottom Line: recommended This in the only sunscreen on the market that is "Total block" that i have found that doesn't cause my skin to break out.
I go out on 5-6 hour bike rides and I can 100% rely on this sunscreen to protect my skin.
Great for Tri-Sports by OCD mare in Clarksville, tn on 6/5/09Pros: Effective Protection, Non-comedogenic, Rubs In Well, UVA/UVB Protection Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Sports Bottom Line: recommended My husband used this on his triathlon a few weeks ago. he said it was pretty effective and kept his face and shoulders from burning. I like anything that saves his skin. he has limited time to apply anything in the transition area, so i am very happy with the product.
best tennis sunscreen ever by Tennis Nut in New York, NY on 6/1/09Pros: Effective Protection, Non-comedogenic, Not Greasy, Rubs In Well, Sweatproof, UVA/UVB Protection, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Beach, Sports, Swimming Bottom Line: recommended I play a great deal of tennis in the summer and I have very fair skin. This is the first sunscreen I have used that really protects my skin for a long match (sometimes over 3 hours in direct sun.) It does not wear off or sweat off as much as other brands I have tried. Other reviews mention that it stings when it gets in their eyes. My mother helped me with this one years ago - the trick is not to put sunscreen near your eyes or on your forehead. Instead, wear a hat and sunglasses. I have never found a sunscreen that does not sting when it gets in your eyes. I like this product so much I am using it on my 3 year old and 5 year old with no complaints from them.
Great protection, bad smell by Elizabeth in Virginia on 5/30/09Pros: Effective Protection, Rubs In Well, Sweatproof, UVA/UVB Protection, Waterproof Cons: Smells Bad Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer Best Uses: Sports Bottom Line: not recommended I love Neutrogena products, especially sunblock, however this one has a fragrance that is quite potent. It seems like it's meant for a man because it smells like mens cologne or deodorant. I don't know what they were going for with this one. It works well for sun protection but the smell is over the top. Why do they need to add this fragrance anyway? I'd rather have it smell the way it should WITHOUT fragrance than worry that people think I'm wearing mens cologne.
Yech by RockabillyKitten in SLC,UT on 5/23/09Pros: Effective Protection Cons: Causes breakouts, Greasy or Heavy, Irritates around eyes, Smells Bad Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer Best Uses: Daily Use Bottom Line: not recommended Made me breakout like crazy! Very heavy and greasy. Save your money
