I use the white cotton reed diffuser in my bathroom and it keeps it smelling fresh with a subtlely pleasant smell all day long. Since the reeds are short, I would definitely recommend using it for a smaller area - such as a bathroom, bedroom, or office space - rather than a larger area like a kitchen, living room, or den.
