Indications
Helps prevent sunburn. If used as directed with other sun protection measures, decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Stop use and ask a doctor if rash occurs. When using this product, keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including limit time in the sun, especially from 10am-2pm. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses. For use on skin only. Avoid contact with fabric.

As a rower for my school's team I spend a lot of time on the water with the sun beating down on me, and as a red haired boy I burn supper easily. With this product I have not burned once this summer season. As a rower we have special demands when it comes to sun blocks. One that is non greasy, so the oars do not slip out of our hands. Two one that is water proof because you are inevitably going to be splashed by the person in front of you. And finally as a bow man you need to be able to see so a sun block that is sweat proof on your face is necessary. This product has met all of these demands perfectly. I recommend this to every one on my team and we have fallen in love with it. So even if you are just going to be spending some time on the beach or if you are going to be doing some seserous water sports this product will be perfect.

I would buy again if it had fragrance

I have rosacea and this is the only product I have found that protects me from the sun (I'm very fair) and isn't heavy or greasy & doesn't run when I sweat. I also don't get bumps because it doesn't clog my pores. I run & play tennis & this stuff keeps me cool & doesn't ruin my clothes with stains. I first used it in Hawaii where I found it in a local surf shop. Even though I did have to reapply after boogie boarding, I didn't burn! I would agree it is very water resistant. I will use it year round

Since using sunscreen prevents your skin from absorbing vitamin D, this new sunscreen has it in the lotion. I don't know if it is effectively absorbed, but I'm hoping it does. I still have to do some research on this. Still, a great idea!

After a terrible bout with "sun poisoning" (photodermic allergic reaction) I contacted a dermatologist. His best advice was to use a product with "Parasol 1789". Easier said than done! There are few on the market and those I found were greasy, waxy and not pleasant smelling. I was DELIGHTED when I found Ocean Potion. It applies easily, isn't greasy and I love the smell. I have never had a sun-poisoning reaction when using it. (But had one when I ran out and used a brand without Parasol.) It is hard to find in Ohio, so I am glad I can order it from Drugstore.com! I'll order it every year!
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, or at least every 2 hours. Avoid contact with fabric. Protect this product from excessive heat and direct sun. Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor.
