You can use this product at night time to avoid disturbed sleep due to dry hack. The adhering discs make it safe by avoiding accidental aspiration, great for the elderly population as well.

I have Sjogren's Syndrome, which dries the mouth and eyes of their natural moisture. After getting several cavities and my teeth started chipping away, I was finally diagnosed. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, and severe fibromyalgia. Its seems that once you get one autoimmune disease, you are open to others! Great!. I once had beautiful, healthy and strong teeth, now they look transparent. Didn't realize I had it until too late. I also take Evoxac to produce saliva but still need the mints during sleep or I can't sleep. I used to use chewing gum but would end up all over me! I can't function without this stuff. Only complaint is the price-very expensive when you go through it as quickly as I do.

For over a year, after having had a cancerous salivary gland removed I suffered from dry mouth. It was especially bad at night. Even though I sleep with my mouth closed, I still woke up in the mornings with my throat and tongue feeling extremely parched. I happened to mention my problem to my dental hygienist and she recommended I try XyliMelts. (I can't figure out why the doctor who performed the surgery didn't tell me about this product to begin with!) Anyway, I'm so glad to have found XyliMelts because IT WORKS!!! I use just one tablet/disc every night at bedtime and wake up 7 or 8 hours later with the disc completely dissolved away and no sign of dry mouth. It's amazing!! I should mention that placing the disc between your cheek and gums is a little tricky at first, but in two or three days it's a breeze.

Works well, easy to use. Stays in place on your gums Vs some other products that fall out of place. Don't even notice it's there after you use one or two. Helps keep moisture without having to suck on a lozenger

I have very bad dry mouth especially at night when I have a tendency to sleep with my mouth open. I see my dentist every 4 months and he has found a small cavity almost every time. This last time, after 8 months of using XyliMelts, there were no cavities.
After my night time rinse, I place a XyliMelt in the right side of my mouth and go too bed. If i awake during the night I place a second one in the left side of my mouth and return to bed. I do not wake up with dry mouth.
I carry XyliMelts with me all the time and use them when I don't have access to water to keep my mouth moist.

Although these are kind of pricey, I like them and use them everyday. Neither the regular nor the mint free taste unpleasant. They work well when they are in my mouth and last for a little while after the disc has dissolved. They are great when I'm in the shower or putting on make-up because they dissolve slowly. I also use them at night. I have woken up in the morning and still had some of the disc left. Sometimes the stick-um part doesn't dissolve completely but it's easy enough to remove.
