I normally use a curl mousse which is great at holding curl (for days as I only wash my hair 1-2 times/wk) and avoiding frizz but it also gives me the crunchy look at first so wanted to try this. This avoids the crunchy look but does not hold curl or stave off frizz nearly as well. It looks good the second day for a soft wavy look but the for the first, it's half curl half wave and frizzy. I apply this on towel dried hair and let air dry (so maybe better results with diffuser?) I use the curvaceous low lather shampoo and conditioner.

I use this every day, whether I wash my hair of just rinse it. One pump works on medium length hair. This product brings out the curls in wavy hair and calms down frizz. I've tried tons of "curl enhancers" and this is the best I've found.

Please note the dates on any positive reviews for this product and DO NOT BUY. The positive reviews are from when the product was the old Redken 07 Ringlet formula. That formula was great especially for medium or fine curls. It had little scent and left curls bouncy, shiny, and not sticky or crunchy.

This new product smells really, really awful and is heavy and sticky.

How it got to piggyback off of the reviews of a totally different formula when it replaced it I do not know but this is FAR more than a packaging update. It's a whole different and very yucky product.

Unfortunately Redken has discontinued Ringlet07. This is not just a packaging update. Unlike 07, the new product (Curvaceous) has a horrible odor. It's like the worst old lady perfume that you can imagine. Intense and it takes your breath away.
As others have said, the perfumey (if you can call it that) smell hangs around for at least 36 hours. It's truly a gagging strong odor.
Also unlike 07, this new reformulation is very slippery and doesn't give the same soft curl as 07.
I'm grateful to Drugstore.com for allowing me to return this as I ordered this directly from my list and didn't see that there had been a change.

Simply the best for curling or wave enhancement BUT wrong product was shipped to me twice. Had to buy elsewhere as something wrong with warehouse picking or stock error. Drugstore made good but have to buy elsewhere for now until problem corrected.

Ringlet 07 is discontinued, per Redken, and Curvaceous is the new product being shipped. In a time when consumers are looking for products that are more "natural" I am flabbergasted as to why Redken would discontinue Ringlet 07 and give the new Curvaceous an overpowering scent. As if that is not bad enough, the scent is very "manly" and reeks of chemicals. I am so disappointed. I gave the product one extra star (up from 1) because it still gives me nice curls. I will be looking for a replacement product, though. Blech!

DO NOT order this thinking its the same product as Ringlet 07, as alluded to in the description by the "packaging" being updated. The new Curvaceous Ringlet is NOT an acceptable replacement for Ringlet 07! The smell is horribly overwhelming and musky, to the point of triggering a migraine for me. The formula itself is gooey and slick feeling (not a good thing) in styled hair. It is not the same product at all! Very disappointed in this, and Redken has lost me as a customer.

I've been using this stuff for 4 years now and I love the curl it gives me. Good Luck- not easy taming curls that have their own mind!
