After many years in braces as an adult I developed jaw problems and needed a night brace due to misalignment and bruxism. My insurance wouldn't cover a new brace even though the old one was10 years old. Another one would cost over $400! I thought this may work and bought it. I found the instuctions easy to follow and molded my own brace. I did have to cut off the back ends because I have a small jaw but this is addressed in the instructions too. I brought it to my dentist and he said it was nearly as good as what he would have done. I am very happy with this product. I do have a suggestion - offer it in two different arch sizes. Thanks for a great product and saving me lots of money!

I have used other boil-to-fit ight guards before with no problems. I followed the directions very carefully with this one. However, the resulting guard had virtually no lip to hold it in place. Figuring I hadn't pressed hard enough, I re-boiled and tried again, making extra effort to press my teeth into the material to form a lip. My result was the same. I am absolutely clueless how people get this to work, as I would have to spend the night with my teeth tightly pressed together to get this to stay in.

I grind my teeth (which I didn't even know I did until I went to the dentist). I could have had one made at the dentist for like $600! No thanks! they suggested I just get one from the store. I was concerned about whatever I ordered that it was going to stay put in my mouth at night. The directions were easy to follow. You heat up water in microwave. After you take it (the water) out (I just used a coffee mug)you let the guard sit in the hot water for the amount of time the directions tell you. Take it out, put it on a plate for however long it tells you then put it in your mouth on your top teeth and mold it. Directions tell you to look in a mirror while you are fitting it to your mouth to make sure it's centered. I did'nt even do that. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase. It stays snug in your mouth (top teeth). Since I have started using it it hasn't fell out of my mouth while I am sleeping. It's not too bulky in my mouth either. I would for sure not hesitate to purchase one of these again.

I have used this brand for at least five years. I sleep with my jaw locked shut and my hands clenched in fists. I sound neurotic, but that means I know this product. I follow the instructions for forming the fit. I have had to heat it up a second time on one occasion when I smudged it as I was removing it from my mouth. The second fitting worked fine. I have chewed through one of the guards, but that was after six months. Brush it with your favorite toothpaste every morning when you remove it. Wash the case so it doesn't get yucky. I have used peroxide on both. Rinse well. It's embarrassing on trips with friends, but if you're traveling with someone, it's likely you're comfortable with him or her. It's not sexy. It makes you lisp. And yet, it does the job. It keeps your teeth from crushing each other. Yay.

I'm not sure why others are having difficulty with this? It works great, if you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
It even lets you have a do over, if it doesn't work the first time. Again, it's in the instructions.
During the fitting process, you are able to contour and align the guard to the shape of your teeth (wide or narrow). Just make sure each back part of the guard is spread in or out CENTER with your molars, and your incisors are at the front edge of the guard. During fitting (while you bite down), use your fingers to massage and mold the material against your teeth and gums until is cools down, this is key.
My guard fits snug like a glove and is very comfortable. I have no problem breathing or sleeping.
Comments about The Doctor's NightGuard Advanced Comfort Dental Protector, 1 ea:
I'm a severe teeth grinder. This product works as well as the expensive ones from the dentist. Like any product for this condition, it won't last forever. But, it lasts longer than any other I've tried.
Comments about The Doctor's NightGuard Advanced Comfort Dental Protector, 1 ea:
I mistakenly purchased this dental guard thinking it was the same as my existing one. It was similar, but definitely wasn't the same. It's easy to mold, but the guard seems too wide for my mouth. It took a couple nights before I could sleep though the night with it in and when I did I woke up with a lot of irritation from it. It doesn't have a good enough fit for me to keep wearing and it actually felt like it my teeth were being pushed, similar to the feeling when you have just gotten your braces adjusted--a little tender. Now my jaw hurts and I have to search for something new.
