I realize the wrinkles and freckles that haunt me are somewhat self-inflicted from all the days spent baking in the sun. For the past five years I have been trying to morph from being a sun worshipper to a shade lover. Although I receive compliments about the condition of my skin these days, believe me, it's not easy giving up that youthful, sun-kissed glow. I really dislike slathering sunblock lotion on my face... So I was thrilled to see this product by Bare Minerals!! It is so covenient... I use it as my every day sunblock and foundation all in one. It totally lives up the the brand name. I recommend it to everyone!!

Didn't work! I burned

I used this product last weekend when I was outside for a BBQ, and I burned a little! I thought that maybe I didn't apply enough, so yesterday I tried again when I was outside for a picnic. I VERY generous with my application and reapplied it a few times -- and I still burned! I had mentioned to one of my friends my doubts about whether the product worked, and he tried a little experiment, using the Bare Minerals sunscreen on one arm and regular sunscreen (also spf 30) on the other. By the end of the picnic, his arm with regular sunscreen was fine, but his arm with Bare Minerals sunscreen was a little pink. I think it might provide some sun protection, but it's DEFINTELY not SPF 30 -- not even close.

Very good coverage. I've been using Bare Minerals for about ten years now. It's my only makeup for my fair, sensitive skin. This goes on underneath my mineral makeup and blends nicely. You'd never know it was there. My skin breathes nicely. The only other sunscreen I can use on my face is from Clinique. It's expensive, and sometimes it feels like it comes off while sweating. However, for sensitive skin, that product is still worth it. Want to use this mineral sunscreen all summer and judge its effectiveness over time, and during peak summer heat and UV levels.

This product is wonderful for those with sensitive skin. It is also great for those with oily skin. The only problem is that it is hard to get out and to tell when you have enough applied.

I have not tried this product for long outings in the sun, but have tried it over a week for daily use (in the TX sun) running errands (being allergic to the sun, without sunscreen I tend to break out - but this product has prevented that).... I have extremely sensitive skin, and all other sunscreens have broken me out in rashes and or hives. This is the first one that my skin just loves!!! I would give it a five star if it wasn't for the poor container design. It does not spread well. Fortunately they made a bottom that unscrews, and I put it in a container from [...] that has holes in it and you can shake it out and use a brush. That works great. It has almost the same look as the foundation (blends smoothly), and a higher spf, so if you need to choose, choose this product (however they do work nicely together). It covers up average blemishes, but if you have darker blemishes, the foundation might be needed. Both the sunscreen and the foundation last well unless you are sweating a lot, then you need to reapply after a couple of hours. Note: I tried the concealer, but it wears off more quickly and I found the foundation and the sunscreen to be better at concealing, so I never end up using the concealer.

This sunscreen is easy to apply, leaves no sticky, messy feeling that other sunscreens do. It also doesn't have that annoying sunscreen smell .

I especially like this product because it is dry and blends with other Bare Escentual products that I use. It's nice to have a dry sun block product that is natural looking and portable.
