This cleansing bar is very effective in clearing moderate to severe acne or the face or back/chest. However, it is a bit drying so do not overuse it or using the 5% cleansing bar about two times a day. If used consistently, your face will clear up in about 2 weeks i would say. good product overall.

i am a 24 year old female and have combination skin. i used to go to the dermatologist and pay a lot of money for a 10% benzoyl peroxide solution. but PANOXYL works just as well [$] a bar usually lasts 2 months.

I am currently 28 years old and have been dealing with acne for the past 14-15 years. I have used just about every product out there including Proactiv to try to combat my acne but nothing has ever worked as great as this product! It's crazy but my adult acne has actually been worse than my teenage acne. I used to be embarrassed to be seen in public b/c I'd have pimple all over my face AS A GROWN WOMAN. A few weeks after trying this product, my breakouts started decreasing and about a month later I had no breakouts or pimples on my face at all! It totally dried up my acne! I have extremely oily skin so I love the "drying out" effect of the product since that seems to be what I needed to stop my acne. Using warm water, wash the affected area for 1 to 2 minutes
Rinse well and pat dry with a clean towel
Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor.
If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
