I own Tresemme's infamous heat protectant spray and do not find it as effective at this spray. My hair is never left greasy and the scent is amazing!

Thought I'd give this heat spray a try since the stuff I usually use wasn't available at the time. It happened to be about a $1.75 cheaper too, so I thought, what the heck, I'll try it. Well, here's the thing. This stuff holds really well. My hair stayed straight all day and even through sleeping, I woke up the next day... Still straight!

But the real kicker is that this spray is sticky and since the spray nozzle is like a non-aerosol hairspray nozzle, it's a bit hard to control how much is coming out onto your hair unlike most thermal sprays. The first time I sprayed this onto my hair way too much came out and I had to work with a very damp section of hair, which in turn became sticky and felt greasy after I was through with my flat iron. I tried brushing my hair later on that night and it felt like someone had put a thin layer of bubblegum on my strands. The sticky factor is what turns me off to this. Would not recommend.

Adds softness and shine to hair without being weighed down or greasy. Never found that in a heat protectant before. Will DEFINITELY buy again. Love this line!

I've been straightening my hair a couple times a week for about 10 years now. I'm lucky enough to never have damaged my hair badly doing it, but I read that I really should be using a heat protectant spray (I used to use Therma-Silk shampoo, but that's been discontinued). I searched for products based on reviews, and this seemed to have good reviews for a pretty cheap price, so I bought it at my local drug store. At first I couldn't stand the smell - it was too strong and had that "cheap hairspray" smell. I'd read about it giving another reviewer a migraine, so I worried the smell would make me sick; I almost returned this. But I tried it again and realized that it WORKS, and I got used to the smell. This product actually seems to help straighten my hair and keep it straight throughout the day for longer than without product. I wash and dry my hair at night, and the next morning spray this maybe 3-4 times in that many sections, comb it through, and straighten usually right away. My hair ends up straighter and less frizzy than when I don't use it, which is almost never now.

I can't say whether it works better or worse than other products since this is the first heat protectant I've used for straightening. I used a Tresemme heat protectant for curling my hair (which I've done once in the past year), and THAT stuff was migraine-inducing smelly and didn't seem to protect my hair at all; my hair was a dry, damaged MESS after, so I don't want to even try that for straightening. I'm happy with the Got 2B!

I used a great deal of hair products on my hair. This is inexpensive and works well. I use in small sections and then flat iron. I would not recommend this for thin or fine hair though. My hair is thick and wavy and it works great for the money. I live at the beach at it's always sticky and humid...this keeps it from getting frizzy.

It's ok . It's not the greatest heat protection. It smells a little strong . If you put to much it will make your hair kinda hard and oily . It works fine, I probably wouldn't buy it again though .

THIS IS HORRIBLE.
Seriously, don't buy it.
I bought it thinking it was the greatest thing ever because I really needed something for my fine, thin and straight hair. I have straight hair but I love it flat so it's fried! I thought I needed a heat protectant and this is just not the one! I'll tell you why!
- It was very good at first. The first 2-3 times I used it my hair was so soft and shiny
- AFTER 1 WEEK I realized that my hair was oily.. RIGHT AFTER MY SHOWER & BLOW DRY! I kind of thought it was the heat protectant but I didn't think so, so I kept using it.
- My hair was SO GREASY I couldn't even wear my hair down anymore! It almost made my cry because my beautiful hair was GONE! My hair would be greaasy every night after my shower. It would get even MORE oily and gross after 1 day of just wearing it up in a pony tail! I don't have african hair, I have soft sleek asian hair, and my hair never gets greasy or oily.
- I hate this stuff! Don't buy it you will certainy regret it.

BTW, my hair HAD to be fixed. it almost ruined it. I had to use baking soda in my normal shampoo to get all the grease & junk out!

I bought this because my drugstore was out of the usual stuff I use. I'm not too particular about the heat protection I use, but this was awful. It is overly fragrant, very perfumey, and after I applied it to my hair it was much more difficult to comb. It also didn't help the straightening process very much, and now that I've stopped using it, my hair looks much better.

My sister and I Love this product!!! We live in Miami where the weather is hot and very humid!! We have tried other (expensive) items, but did not keep our hair straight. All you need to do is spray a little at a time. Do NOT soak your hair!! This product keeps our hair smooth, shiny and straight!! We can't say anything bad about "got2b" heat protect "N flatten.
