I've used this for several years. I have wavy hair that I frequently flat iron. My daughter has straight, thin hair and this works well for her too. I have a hard time finding products that don't make my hair dried out, flat, greasy, or coated-feeling. This light mousse provides just the right amount of hold and leaves my hair feeling light and looking shiny. I am 43 and get compliments on my hair almost every day. It is hard to find an extra control product that you can still run your fingers through, and this fits the bill. I want my hair to look great every day but don't want to overpay to get that. My money has other places it needs to be besides on my head.

I used this product for my type 3a/b curly hair, just for some definition. I remember my older sister using Finesse for her beautiful curly hair years ago, so I decided to give it a try.
While the product smells great (a fresh, clean smell), I neglected to remember that my sister used this in the late 90s... An era where hair was either flattened stick straight or curled and teased into a massive poof. That's exactly what this product did for me, while I got some curl definition. It made my hair color look flat and dry.
To fix this problem, I mixed it with another budget conscious mousse that didn't give me too much hold and it did the trick. However, I might as well buy a pricier mousse that does it's job and is equally as effective without all the extra work.
Bottom line: Smells great, minimal definition, and no shine.

My husband has been using this every day since he was a teenager and he's now 39. He has thick, wavy hair and this provides great control/hold without it being overly stiff or wet looking. The biggest plus is that it NEVER flakes in his hair! Finesse is getting harder to find in stores and when he's had to use other brands he always has issues with them flaking. I've read several other reviews from different websites and this mousse always gets 5-stars and they all state the same thing about it being non-flaking. Thank goodness I can find it here and I usually stockpile it when do find it in stores. There are different formulas to choose from but my husband always uses the extra control. I hope this great product is never discontinued!
Shake can well. Turn can upside down and dispense into palm. Rub hands together. Apply to roots, working fingers evenly through hair. Blow dry starting at roots and style.
