Essential for All Breastfed Infants #1 Brand Recommended by Pediatricians
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends using a vitamin D supplement for exclusively and partially breastfed babies because of low average levels of vitamin D in breast milk.
D-Vi-Sol (1 mL dose) meets the 400 IU of vitamin D recommended by the AAP for all breastfed infants.
D-Vi-Sol provides an essential vitamin that helps your baby's body absorb calcium for strong bones and teeth.
D-Vi-Sol complements your breast milk to help provide optimal nutrition for your baby.
D-Vi-Sol is sugar-free, gluten-free and lactose-free.

Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
This stuff is gross. It smells really bad, is oily, and you have to give your baby a whole dropper full, which is hard because it obviously tastes horrible. A much better product is the DDrops Baby Vitamin D3 drops. All you need is one drop placed on the breast before breastfeeding.

Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
Our little guy does not like the way it tastes but tolerates it. I drop it in slowly because it is the only way he will swallow any of it. If I put in too much he just pushes it back out and does not end up ingesting any of it. I tasted it and it has a bad aftertaste. We only use it because our Pediatrician and the AAPA recommends it.

Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
This is the 2nd bottle of Vit D my baby has been getting. I couldn't understand why, all of a sudden she has such problem swallowing her daily dose and frequently even spits it out. One day, I decided to smell the dropper and taste the content. Horrible! It smells very medicine-y and tastes like the worst cough syrup ever. No wonder little one hates it. I am switching back to the brand our first bottle was from. Yuck.

Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
I needed to supplyment Vit D because she is exclusively breastfed. My baby (3 mo old) doesn't mind the taste at all, which was a relief. It smells like one of those cough syrup or almond extract.
Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
My daughter needs to take Vitamin D drops because of the low amount found in breastmilk. She has no problems with these drops and swallows them easily. They do not seem to upset her stomach at all when we give them to her in the middle of a feeding.

Artificial ingredients??

Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
There is absolutely no need for artificial flavors and colors in a product like this (or any product)!
Vitamin D is important.. dosing my child with chemicals at the same time is unhealthy and unnecessary. Shame on Enfamil. Carlson makes a vitamin D drop for babies that is free of artificial ingredients and preservatives.
Comments about Enfamil D-Vi-Sol Vitamin D Supplement Drops, 1.66 fl oz:
Now that Vitamin D is recommmended by the American Academy of Pediatrics for all exclusively breastfed babies over 2 months, I have been searching for a Vitamin D only supplement. This is so much better than the Poly-Vi-Sol as far as taste, smell, and staining. I have not tried the Tr-Vi-Sol, so I cannot compare to that one.
How to Use the Enclosed Dropper: Fill the dropper to the 1 mL line to provide the full daily dosage. Use full dosage, regardless of age or weight, unless your child's doctor recommends a different dosage. Dispense with a single squeeze of the dropper bulb. It is normal for a small amount to remain in the tip.
Dosing Tips: Drops may be given by dispensing directly into the mouth. Drops may also be mixed with breast milk or formula, fruit juice, cereal or other foods to increase your child's acceptance.
Talk to your baby's doctor about D-Vi-Sol drops. This product comes with a child-resistant cap. Refrigeration not required. After opening, store away from direct light.
