I bought this for my daughter, who has moderate acne that is bordering the "severe" range, less than a week ago. In one week, she has significantly less break-outs. She often has multiple red spots from past blemishes. This product has worked better than any others we've tried (which is a LOT) on reducing the redness of the post-acne spots. She has also been using the Illumask Acne Light Therapy Mask, with which we noticed some improvement on break-outs and red marks, but this product has improved her skin more dramatically and quicker than any other. The combination of the two products may finally do the trick after we've tried virtually every other over-the-counter product for acne and some prescriptions as well.

My favorite cleanser - lovely smell leaves me lingering over washing my face. Soothing and gentle, keeps my menopausal skin clear and breakout-free, without ever feeling stripped. Not just for acne-prone teenagers! Highly recommended.

I love this cleanser! My skin is very oily, sensitive, acne prone, and can get very flaky (skin's sebum production level and moisture aren't the same.) This cleanser doesn't irritate my skin or dry it out. I prefer this over the cleansing gel. The cooling is especially nice in the morning to wake up. It cleared up the small amount of acne I still struggle with and my skin feels great! I am very happy with this product!

I don't know how well it removed makeup since I always use a makeup removing towelette before washing up.

have oily acne prone skin, but is well controlled. rarely have bad breakouts anymore, but the area around my cheeks and mouth are always a little pink, from all the products i use (apricot scrub, acid treatment creams-- redness could be rosacea, but if it is, it is very minor) i love this cream, it is silky and moisturizing and after 2 weeks I have no breakouts and my cheeks appear less red and have not felt the need to wear concealer under my nose and around my mouth (usually wear no other make-up, i am 35 years old), still using acid night creams & sunscreen everyday. This cream has glycolic acid in it which is why I chose it over the other neutrog. calming wash in the pump bottle. I am also a aethetician, feel this is good as anything from the mall, maybe not good for sensitive skin types already using glycolic acid products.

I bought this cleanser because I was looking for something milder to use during those times when my acne-prone skin acts sensitive and fussy. This product fits the bill! It's gentle yet effective, and also makes my face feel soft and moisturized afterwards. There is no residue or film left behind either. I don't usually have much in the way of redness so I can't speak to its effectiveness in that area ... but I definitely recommend this cleanser to anyone with oily skin or blemishes!

I began using this product a few months ago with a lot of trepidation that it would irritate and redden my highly sensitive skin. Thankfully, I've experienced absolutely no irritation from it and have been pimple-free since I purchased this. I am very impressed that this face-wash actually does what it says it will: reduces reddness and reduces break-outs. I use this both morning and night; at night with my Mia (highly recommend the Mia too!). Great face wash, awesome price, noticeable results! Neutrogena is amazing as always!

This is the most amazing product ever. I'm 15, I have been wearing makeup sense the fourth grade just to cover up my acne. I just went to school for the first time with no make up sense then today and I feel GREAT. I tried everything, even things not sold in stores. I tried Clean and Clear and almost died because of it. I stoped breathing. I went to the dermatoligist and she gave me everything, including pills. I had the ligthest of the lightest things made and they still would cause me to peel skin off to where I would have blisters. She told me basically not to bother coming back because my face was so bad. I tried Clean and Clear Grapefruit, it was okay. Then i tried this on day and I am amazed. My face is better then ever. It feel as great as it looks. I use the scrub and this in the morning as a wash and at night i use it as a mask. If i feel a little dry I use a light Neutrogena Moisturzer and My face iis flawless. I am now a model and I couldn't live without this stuff. TRY IT!

I used this product two times before I had to throw it away... I have no idea what was in this, but after using it for a day, an ugly red rash had broken out on my cheeks and around my mouth. I don't know if it was the product itself or something in it which reacted with the acne medication I use, but the result was not good. I have skin that is oily yet extremely sensitive, and I knew from the moment I used this product that it was not going to work out because it made my skin burn! I have never had this type of reaction with any other cleanser I've used, including the other products in the redness soothing line, so if you have sensitive skin or are already on acne medications, use with caution.
