I never have experienced an unpleasant smell from this product. It's great and I love that it actually has no odor at all to it. I use it daily for myself and my 2 year old!

This is the only hand sanitizer I've found that is really fragrance-free and not sticky when it dries. I take it with me in my purse and car.

I use this for hands, wound cleansing, travel with one, even add it to the wash!
Benzychonium chloride was the original aneseptic wound wash and skin cleanser in most hand cleaners before companies moved to heavy-duty pesticides -- like Triclosan -- which then gave rise to superbugs like MRSA. Love that this company still offers this - so much less toxic. I've never had a problem with a smell -- sounds like a call to the co. to find out whats up with that . . .

I've been using BabyGanics alcohol-free hand sanitizer for a couple of years. At first, there was not any fishy odor, but over time it has grown to have the terrible fishy odor after drying. Sometimes the odor is stronger than other times, but I cannot find a cause for the difference. Our local mega-supermarket carries a store-branded alcohol-free hand sanitizer that doesn't get smelly.

Weird that you guys are getting a fish smell -- I use this (not purchased from drugstore.com yet) and smells good...

To mimic other comments...it totally smelled like fish on my hands after it dried! The smell was so bad, I threw out the entire bottle. I even had my friend try it and the same thing happened to her! I will definitely buy something else next time.

I purchased two 50ml bottles and two 250ml of the Germinator alcohol-free hand sanitizer from Babies R Us and have experienced an extremely unpleasant effect . . . within seconds of using this our hands smell like rotting fish . . . it is horrible and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or did we get a bad batch?? It is really awful!
