When I read the first review, I had to make an account just so I could leave my own review (I want to make sure no one thinks I am a paid reviewer or somehow affiliated with the company). I have NEVER had an issue sharpening these pencils. In fact, when my pencil gets really short, I just replace it with a new one and throw the short one in my take-along makeup bag.
I've been using this eyeliner for at least a couple years, now. I used to buy the Violet exclusively (as a softer alternative to black), and have since started using the Gold and Silver as well. I love how smoothly this eyeliner goes on, and that it stays on! It doesn't smudge unless I choose it to. I've recently taken to lining my lower waterline with silver or gold, depending on whether I'm using cool or warm eye color. This easily takes me from a day look to a night look.
These pencils are a little expensive, so I generally only buy when they are BOGO 1/2 off, or on sale. I do think the price is worth what I get out of them, though!

This product is a complete rip off. There is no way to sharpen the pencil AT ALL! You can only use it about 3 times. The color is great but 3 uses for [$] is a complete rip-off. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
