I love the regular L'oreal Voluminous Waterproof mascara. It's my Go-To mascara. I figured this would be just as good, and perhaps a little better. I was wrong. Yes, it did add a little extra va-va-voom and glamour to my lashes, but within a couple hours I noticed black specks on my lids. I figured it was a fluke and tried it again, this time before going out to dinner. Big mistake. A quick stop in the ladies' room revealed carbon black smudges all over my upper lids. It was pretty embarrassing. But still I tried one more time, this time applying a coat of Carbon Black and a top coat of regular Voluminous, thinking maybe the regular mascara would seal the other and prevent smudges. Nope. That didn't work. So now I'm giving up and throwing the Carbon Black in the trash. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time and money on this one. If it can't handle plain old living, how's it going to stand up to tears or a rainstorm?

I generally like L'Oreal because it doesn't smudge on me, and I get the waterproof just in case. However I am so disappointed with this, my lashes looked spider-y and thin, but worst of all, within an hour there were black smudges underneath my lower lashes AND on my eyelids (where the top of my lashes touched). I hate that, it's so embarrassing and I will not wear it again.

Place brush at base of lashes and gently sweep up to tip -- no need to pump the wand. Removes easily with waterproof eye makeup remover.
