Last year I had surgery on my neck to have a plate put in to fuse part of it. Before flying off on vacation I got this neck-rest to help relieve stress on my neck as well as to use as a pillow. I found that because it has the beads, it is more flexible and you can fold the ends or fold it in half to provide your preferred comfort. Even on 2 turbulence filled flights on prop planes, I was able to get the comfort and support I needed. The ones sold at the airports are $20 or more and are hard. So I am very happy with my purchase.
