The original R 845 rechargeable shaver gave great shaves with no problems until the foil heads broke down and were dangerous to use. The shaver holds a charge for a long time, so replacing the foil heads and cutters made sense. This replacement was the one listed for the R 845, so I ordered two replacements. The first one was very rough on my neck and face and grabbed and ripped out nearby beard and hair--other shaver heads don't do that. After 3 mornings and following my wife's comments that I looked like I'd been out in a sandstorm, I had to ask for a refund.
To Remove Heads and Cutters: Grip the cutter head housing and pull upward from shaver. Remove the cutter retainer assembly by unscrewing the center screw knob from the cutter head housing. Remove the head/frame assembly by pulling it out of the housing. To Replace Heads and Cutters: Replace the new cutter and head frames making sure that the frames are placed into the housing with the head frame pins (2) aligned as indicated. Tighten the screw knob to hold frames in place. Close the housing assembly. Make sure the housing is latched or clicked into place. Make sure to keep the plastic head guard in place while shaver is not in use to protect heads.
