Collagen is a complex structural protein that maintains strength and flexibility throughout the body. I'm not sure what the other reviewer expects from powdered collagen. I mix it with water and drink it every morning. It doesn't taste great (because again, it's powdered collagen, not hot chocolate), but it doesn't taste any worse than than the fiber supplements you mix with beverages. If the taste bothers you, you can certainly mix it with something other than water. Most importantly, it works. I've taken it every day for about 5 or 6 months and my skin is firmer, my hair is shiny, and my nails are hard. I've had to trim my nails every week and my hair every two weeks because they both grow so fast. To me, the results are worth it. I would still use this product, even if it tasted as bad as the other reviewer claims. (Which it doesn't).

This powder reminds me of the days when I was an avid whey protein drinker. The protein after taste in this product is a bit too uncomfortable to me. Dissolving it in water or a drink with vitamin c is not enough. I plan on adding this to soy or almond milk and consume it as a protein shake. I tried allowing the protein to settle completely after blending it in the blender. I just wait 30 minutes for the drink to become clear again. The taste isn't as bad at that point but protein shakes are a better way to drink this, at least for me. In comparison to the pills, the pills are much more tolerable and easier to get out of the way.

Yep, this works! You have to be deligent and take it daily with Vit C(I don't think you should take it with OJ - thats all carbs and sugar and you are canceling out the good stuff). Don't expect overnite results, but yes, you will see results! The first thing I noticed was less aches and pains and more energy and strength. No soreness or stiffness the next day after a good work out anymore either! Able to increase weights with better recovery. After a few months use, skin is clear and glowing, hair is softer and thicker, nails are growing long and strong! Yes, the taste is not great but its really not that bad - just drink it down! I have tasted lots worse with other vitamin and protein drinks, trust me! If you want a smoothie - forget about your health and go to your local ice cream place or coffee shop! Sometimes you gotta suck it up( or down in this case) and get over it for the health benefits! Putting it in the shaker or a bottle with a cap and using icy cold water works the best, if you can see the frothing of it, then you have done a good job. Oh, and take it before bed with the VIT C on an empty stomache.

I'm on my second container and I can't say for sure if any skin improvements have been caused by the powder. I significantly upped my daily water intake (Fiji b/c of the silica) and I noticed an improvement in my skin. I'm sure the collagen powder has helped but I can't say definitively in what way.

The product directions recommends dissolving in orange juice and also states that the citric acid aids absorption. If that were the case, then why not just mix some citric acid into the product? I find that orange juice masks some of the scent and taste. It's difficult to drink when only mixed with water since it smells like a glass of ocean water.

This product is ideal for almost anyone, my family and I are taking it. It can be hard to dissolve into liquid, so be sure to follow the instructions on how to add liquid. For me, I find it easy to dissolve it in a drink bottle with a screw on lid, that way I can give it a good vigorious shake and I can take it on the go. I started taking it about a month ago. So I am not sure if it is working, but my sister seems to think it is. Also, my mother notice that her shoulder doesn't hurt anymore.
