I have a LOT of very fine, slippery hair, as does my daughter. Most other clips will not hold my hair, usually because they are not big enough to get around all of it. Same with my daughter's hair. This clip is big enough to hold it all, and the silicone grippers means that it doesn't slide out. Yet the grippers don't pull the hair. I use one in the shower to let conditioner soak in, and one at the sink for washing my face at night. Another one in my daughter's bath for her hair. Highly recommend to those with thick hair.

It was my mistake for not noticing that the color may not be as pictured. Got a weird tan striped one. Sure-grip works great on my thick hair though.

I have thick, fine hair and am not really into styling it. This clip is great to simply toss hair onto head for a clean, crisp look (less sloppy than scrunchies or elastics). Hair stays put. These clips break eventually (hinges come undone), but last for a reasonable amount of time. Cheap to replace.

Works better than ANY hair clip I've ever tried - even kept fly-away strands in place. I can't love on this one hard enough!

I have incredibly thick long hair. When I wear it up, this clip holds my hair in place perfectly, (even by the end of the day). This is one of the only clips that will do that. I am very glad I found it.

I absolutely love this clip. However, after using it basically every day for work, play, and working out, it broke after about 3 - 4 weeks. I bought 3 more to replace it, though.

I have a LOT of curly hair, and this is the only clip that really does the job comfortably. It's big enough to hold all my hair, it's not flimsy plastic, and the soft inside lining helps grip my hair. The edges are nice and smooth, so they don't hurt my scalp or scrape going in like cheaper clips. I use it every day, and after about three months, one of the plastic bits that holds the spring in place breaks off, and I have to get a new one. I have gone through about 6 of these clips, but it's still the most effective product out there for big hair. I have noticed that they are harder to find these days, somaybe they are being discontinued. I don't want that to happen because I really need this clip!

I had a Scunci octopus clip and I LOVED it. So when it broke I immediately went out and bought another one. But this one is the new no-slip grip kind, so it has a rubber-cement-like material on the inside.
Perhaps if you have fine, straight hair you'd want this to keep it in place, but I have thick wavy hair and I do not. It makes me feel like someone is yanking on my hair all day. I tossed it, and I'm now on the hunt for an old-style one that doesn't rip my hair out.
