I got this when my old Clairol set broke down. Have used hot rollers for 20 yrs./
Benefits: _ Set offers 3 different size rollers & more than enough of them to do anyone's hair./ Sizes are color-coded to locate right size easily./ Compact set takes up less room on counter./ Heats up hot quickly./ Edges of rollers are raised for easier handling and hair wrapping./
Downside: Lid doesn't snap on to base & prone to tipping off when handling. Just clumsy-Not a major problem.

Exceedingly disappointed in Price on one, definitely over-price, cheaper elsewhere on net. Don't heat up as HYPED reviews state. Curlers fall out and are difficult to hold with small pins. Pins should be small in order to hold hair tightly. Dissatisfied with products sold, cheaply constructed and everything falls apart.

I have very fine and straight hair and I use it daily to give my hair body and style. It is small and easy to use and does not get too hot.

These rollers will create curls that last ALL day - *IF* you know how to use them!
The traditional "U" shaped clips that they come with take some skill. You have to hook them into your head just right. If you're a beginner you might want to get a bag of claw clips from your local beauty supply- they're pretty cheap.
I have naturally wavy hair and these made me look like Shirley Temple! I used them on my young daughter's straight hair for a dance competition and her hair looked adorable and lasted all day. My best tip is to spray the section of hair with TreSemme heat protectant as you roll each piece. This will help the hair grip the roller and keep the curl.
Practice makes perfect!

I was replacing an old Clairol hairsetter unit that finally quit! I bought another product, thinking it was the same, but it was the kind of roller with sponge & clips that went around the roller - leaving crimps & dents. This was the only product that I saw on your site that is like the Clairol - guess they don't make it anymore.
The "spiked" rollers & clips that slip on are perfect.

I agree with the other poster. I too used to have Clairol rollers and loved them! These are somewhat of a disappointment. They do take awhile to heat up but my biggest disappointment is in the clips--they don't hold! Even though each size comes with it's own clip, they all seem too big.

I miss my trusty old Clairol hot rollers but they finally gave out. Compared to my Clairol rollers: These takes longer to heat up. They don't grip hair as well. The curl doesn't last nearly as long. But I expect they are as good as, or the best of, what I was able to find in the marketplace today.
