I've used Dickinson's before but the smell became harder and harder to tolerate. This one is better in soooo many ways, not only can I tolerate the smell but it smells good. It smells like the Huggies line of lavender scented baby washes. It tightens up my pores and the aloe moisturizes it perfectly. I love that it's alcohol free and I can use it to control oil throughout the day. I used this after a peel with no irritation whatsoever! I'm completely sold! With the Boots I had an instant "Wow" but this one was "Eh". It's a bit drying, smells decent because of the lavender, and it's not irritating probably due to the Aloe and lack of alcohol. It doesn't seem to make a difference with my acne, so I'll probably stick with Boots and use this when I need toner twice in a day. It is gentle yet effective at deep cleaning and moisturizing my skin and preparing it before applying foundation. I use this product daily after washing my face with a gentle, non-drying facial soap or cleanser. It is a toner for the skin and removes any leftover film on your face. It is much less expensive than Clinique toner and I think, does a better job and is healthier because of the natural essential oils. Do the same thing at night before going to bed. Your skin might feel a bit tingly afterwards which is a good thing. In a few days you will notice how much fresher and clearer your face looks. Cucumber toner had a wired smell, not moisture enough in cold weather, good for summer. After using lavendar, oh, my, I love it. You don't need any other expensive mask if you dip lavendar toner to make paper mask. It help the skin moisture all day! I l love the lavendar toner smell as well!
