It does not irritate my skin and I have extremely sensitive skin. Overall it's a great toner. I do not think a toner should do any hydrating or acne reducing that's for other skin care products. I love this toner because it does what it's suppose to remove extra makeup and it does not dry out my skin not add moisture. I also like the cucumber and rose one. I think this one is the best for me since it is fragrance free and my skin is so sensitive. I appreciate that there is no alcohol or fragrance to be found in the straightforward ingredient list. Drier skin will appreciate the glycerin and aloe for its moisturizing and soothing properties while the witch hazel will do its job as the astringent. I was so glad, to once again find a product that can be used to cool and nourish my skin. It has made my face feel refreshed and smoother, and I have been using it for over a year now! It even cools tired feet...just like it did when my mother used the "smelly" witch hazel on my "tootsies"! My hands also feel smother and refreshed after hand quilting for hours!
