They DID work well for that, however, after about a month of use I noticed my skin became redder in certain areas like around my nose, chin, and apples of my cheeks. I wasn't sure if the redness was from the pads so I quit using them a few days ago and already the redness has improved. I wouldn't say I have rosacea per se, but my skin is very thin so if it disagrees with something, it's fairly obvious. Now I use these pads to clean the inside of my ears! They work great for that and help take away that oily look some peoples' ears get. I also will use them for my forehead which tended to get a bit bumpy and I found these pads really helped smooth out the texture, and my forehead hasn't gotten red yet. So, overall I am pleased with these but for specific uses (ears and forehead). My face just didn't appreciate them after some time had gone by. I gave the Thayer's brand a try, and was NOT satisfied. My primary complaint is that they leave a sticky, "tacky" feel to my face after use, and my skin did not feel refreshed. The Dickinson brand left my face feeling clean and clear and smooth. I will definitely not "experiment" with alternative brands any more! Comments about Thayers Original Witch Hazel with Organic Aloe Vera Formula Astringent Pads, 60 ea: I purchased these cleansing pads for my preteen boys who are not washing their face properly. I feel the witch hazel pads are clearing their very mild blemishes on their face but in the future I will purchase a less toxic product.

Comments about Thayers Original Witch Hazel with Organic Aloe Vera Formula Astringent Pads, 60 ea: These are good wipes. They smell great and aren't full of chemicals. They're slightly exfoliating, and I like this as it helps to smoothe the skin. You'd be amazed how much dirt they get off even after you think you've thoroughly washed your face. I have oily but sensitive skin, and they clean and refresh well, even helping with blemishes or redness. I really do think the organic witch hazel is superior to the processed kind we usually find. The grapefruit seed extract is also a powerful natural germ-killer. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Thayers Original Witch Hazel with Organic Aloe Vera Formula Astringent Pads, 60 ea: I normally use the rose scented toner but found myself in a situation where space and convenience determined my purchase and Thayers did not let me down. These pads gently cleanse and tone your skin and work great with my combination skin. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend Thayers toner/astringent products to anyone looking for natural skin care solutions. So I researched to look for a drugstore replacement and am so thrilled and happy to have found this product! I'm impressed with the high content of high quality witch hazel, how drenched the pads are, and how effective the product is. The only downside is that the pads themselves can be a tiny bit abrasive ~ but gotta love the convenience. Overall, definitely a keeper! I will definitely continue to buy these pads and maybe try other Thayers toners.
