We bought this after discovering our eight year old had head lice. We saw the comb used in a video on youtube. The lice comb that came with the RID kit (from 2011) was plastic and not effective for my daughter's thick hair. After 9 days of cutting out nits, we used this comb for a couple days and she was nit-free at last!
We followed the directions. We applied the Lice Goodbye mousse followed by the Creme Conditioner to make combing easier. We combed with the Terminator Comb each section of hair from all directions. It took a long time to complete. I was shocked at the number of nits we found! The standard nit comb likely would not have removed the nits as they were so small. The tines of the comb are so close together that it works best on finer/kid's hair with conditioner in it. My adult hair follicles pulled and broke when I tried it with the mousse and conditioner in my hair. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to use this again on my daughter's hair if ever needed again!

Comb may be used on dry or barely wet hair. In both cases, make sure to first untangle hair with a regular comb or brush.
Separate hair into sections and pull bomb from scalp to ends of hair. Inspect each section to ensure complete removal of lice and nits.
Clean the comb under tap water slightly opening its teeth from the ends. This action should be repeated after completing the cleaning of each section of hair.
