Wife loves the Magic Wand, but it's big and noisy, plus needs that power cord. The Mystic Wand is 60% the size, is lighter, and less noisy than the big guy. The ball head is softer and more flexible, and the handle is a silky silicone. Top speed on this is less than the Hitachi's high, but still powerful and better than most battery vibes. The other speeds and pulses are fun, too. Those who find the Hitachi too much will like this unit's slightly lower power. Battery life so far is excellent. Power light is really too bright, but you can turn it away or try a piece of tape. Drugstore.com was by far the cheapest shop.

The blue light that comes on lights up the room in the dark. Don't like that. Been a HItachi Magic Wand fan for years and read good reviews about the Vibratex so I gave it a shot. The vibration is not the same. The only way I can think to describe the difference is a Harley v.s. a rice burner.

This product was packed on the bottom of the shipping box under a much larger and heavier object, and it had no packing around it or between it and the item above it. It's blister pack was crushed, and I was hardly surprised to find that it didn't/doesn't work. All of the little air bags were on the top of the box. Very disappointing.

I love this - love it, love it, love it, love it! I have been using it regulary for almost three years -sometimes daily, sometimes once a week or so - and have had no problems with it. I can use it for a quickie and get off in minutes or sometimes for more prolonged sessions -something I had never been able to accomplish otherwise.
It is quiet, effective (god, is it effective!) and I enjoy the variety of speeds and sensations. Further, it doesn't look like a sex toy and I appreciate it how discrete it appears.

My wife and I had never used toys before this, but bought the magic wand based on all the other great reviews. Long story short, this little magic wand is now my wife's best friend and consequently mine too! We've tried other vibes along the way as we've gotten more adventurous, but this one we bought first remains the one we go back to. Quiet enough for our situation (kids), and plenty to get the job done without wires to get in the way. Super easy to clean as its waterproof. Haven't used it in the water. Had it for about two years now and have changed the batteries once. The ONLY drawback is that it is only compatible with water based lubes. For that reason, we're stepping up and ordering the pink version that's compatible with silicon. But make no mistake...this thing will make your woman happy happy happy!

I guess I'm not sure why people find this Vibratex to be so great. I didn't think it did much at all. I should have probably looked into something with more clitoral stimulation. After opening it up and looking at the shape I was tempted to return it and should have. Since I'm stuck with it and paid close to [$] if someone has any "suggestions" regarding usage/tips, please post. ;-)
