Pump did not fit my cat water fountain. I returned the pump to Drugstore.com a month ago. I still have not received any acknowledgement, refund, or store credit. I have been a loyal drugstore customer for many years, but will stop purchasing from them until they respond professionally.

I have had several Petmate water fountains which my cats love, but this is
the first time I have had to replace the pump. The water came out with such force that it overflowed and water leaked out onto the floor. There was no control lever on the pump as there has been in the past, so could not control the water.

I bought this pump in January and it broke back in June. The valve is missing from this pump, so it's not like the original pump where the flow of water could be controlled. I bought other automatic waterers but my cats do not like them. They keep going back to the pet mate. The company should take all these bad reviews into consideration and go with another manufacturer for their pumps. I may have to break down and buy another filter, but I feel cheated that it stopped working in under 6 months.

Bought this pump to replace the original pump that came with my Petmate fountain when the power cord failed. It does the pumping job ok, but this pump does not have a flow control valve, and leaks water. There is always a little water under the fountain so I have to place the pump on a plastic cat tray with a little lip, and wipe up the water every day. Pain in the neck.Tried replacing the old cover and flow valve on this pump, but the shape/fit was not the same. Oh well, my cat loves her fountain, and I will need to find another pump that doesn't leak.

I have the older model (DMC 24860) Petmate Fresh Flow watering bowl. Naturally, this alleged replacement pump is NOT a DIRECT replacement. First off, the water flow adjustment, that fit on the old pump, would NOT fit on the new pump. The new pump was @10cm larger and I could not even force it on! I wound up with no water flow adjustment which only means the water flows only at maximum output. Next, the output tube was also slightly larger on the new pump so that the rubber gasket, which does fit, was too tight to fit in the hole in the filter assembly. I removed the output tube from the old one and used it on the new one. Bottom line, if you have an old Fresh Flow, be prepared to do some hard fitting and ingenuity! The "No, I would not recommend" would depend on the age of the friend's Fresh Flow and/or their mechanical ability.
This falls under the heading of PLANNED OBSOLESENCE!

I was looking for a replacement pump for the one that came with the water system I purchased. This fits the bill perfectly even though my system is not the exact model that the pump was originally designed for, it was easy to install and it is running quite well now. Am very happy with this product and the price was right!

I use this in my Drinkwell Platinum pet fountain. It was a replacement for a flow control pump. The cat seems to like it, but I would rather the flow was slower.

drinking water for our 2 cats and 1 dog

received a replacement filter in Decembeer and it didn't work - drugstore replaced it immediately - extreely fast service, however we need to order these pumps and filters several times during the year (we use store bought drinking water to use with this system since our well water is not very suitable for drinking, in fact we have water delivered montly for our own driking and only use the well water for diswasher, clothes washer and to shower (it is supposed to be good for our plants but it kills any perrenial we have attempted to grow each spring)
