We purchased this unit to travel with. Unfortunately this unit does not stay on past 60 minutes. Our home sound machine stays on for our son all time and does not shut off. We prefer to have a unit that has a timer and an on/off override.

I was disappointed to discover that this machine is on a timer. The longest it will run is 90 minutes. That is not stated in the description.. Therefiore, it was of no use for me.

It has such promise and I wanted it to be perfect, but the sound quality is really substandard. Instead of being calming and relaxing, it's very tinny and annoying.

I love this sound machine. Some of the sounds are kinda weird or not what they should sound like, but some are very relaxing. I use this to go to sleep, to drown out my husbands snoring and because I need noise to sleep. The ocean waves, I use every night, and it calms me and helps me fall right to sleep. And, I am not an easy sleeper. I've had trouble for years with insomnia, and that's why I tried this, after going on a cruise, and the ocean waves put me right to sleep. Love it so much, I also bought another for my little girls in their room to drown out the noise from my hubby and I, while we're still up, so they can go to sleep.

I was highly disappointed in this product. The noise selections are not quality sound, and you hear alot of static if the volume isn't very low, therefore it needs to be directly next to the bed. The only available functions are timer settings, and I like the noise to be continuous throughout my sleeping. The nightlight is very cheap. If you want something to just help you fall asleep then the 2 decent sounds on this may work if very close to your bed, otherwise look for another option. Just saying, it's your money not yet spent, learn from the $$$ I did spend :)

Sent back the first one, so disappointed with the static in the Thunderstorm sound, got second on and had the same static Wouldnt recommend

Very good sleep therapy when it works properly.

Has a loud buzzing sound that appears just about the time you fall asleep and awakens you, defeating its purpose.

I received it as a Christmas gift and when I called about a replacement, the lady said the warranty had run out, I only had it about three weeks and it was purchased mid-Dec???? She said the warranty began when manufactured. That is ridiculous!! The item could have been on a store shelf for the length of the warranty before it was purchased!!

I previously wore out a similar product. I missed its soothing night sounds. When I discovered Silver Sound on the DrugStore.com website I knew I had to have it. You don't always know how internet orders will work out but this was total satisfaction. Low price [...] I'm one senior who's getting a better night's sleep.
